——出埃及記37:1

引言

昨天我們原定閱讀《出埃及記》第37章，卻不小心先讀了第38章，所以今天補回第37章。雖然次序調轉了一天，卻不影響我們繼續明白會幕建造的完整信息。

第36章記載會幕本身的建造，第37章記載會幕裏面的約櫃、陳設餅桌、金燈臺和金香壇，第38章則記載外院的銅祭壇、洗濯盆和院子。

第37章不斷出現「做」這個字：比撒列做約櫃、做桌子、做燈臺，也做香壇。神不只是把一個建造會幕的使命交給他，更預備了完成使命所需要的一切。

會幕使用的金、銀、皂莢木和其他材料，都是以色列百姓甘心樂意奉獻出來的。但百姓所奉獻的，也不是完全屬於自己的；他們離開埃及時所帶走的財物，本來就是神恩典的供應。

比撒列可能擁有過往累積的知識和經驗，但他不能按照自己在埃及看過、學過或做過的方法，隨意建造會幕。他必須把自己的能力交在神手中，完全按照神所啟示的樣式去做。

這讓我們看見：我們所擁有的資源、能力和經歷，本來都是從神而來。當神呼召我們跟從祂時，祂不是只有要求，卻沒有供應；神所託付的，祂必預備所需要的一切。

過渡句

從第37章所記載的四樣聖物，我們可以看見：當神呼召我們踏上一條新的道路，祂會預備我們所需要的資源，也會以祂的同在、供應和光照帶領我們；而我們要做的，就是按照祂的心意忠心跟從。

一、神所託付的，祂必預備所需要的資源

經文：

「比撒列用皂莢木做櫃……裏外包上精金，四圍鑲上金牙邊。又鑄四個金環，安在櫃的四腳上。」
——出埃及記37:1–3

製造約櫃需要皂莢木和大量精金，還需要金環、槓和基路伯。這些都不是比撒列單靠自己能夠預備的。

然而，當神吩咐建造會幕時，祂已經感動百姓甘心樂意奉獻，使建造所需要的材料得到充足的供應。

這提醒我們，當神把一項新的責任放在我們面前，我們很容易先看自己的缺乏：

「我沒有足夠的金錢。」
「我沒有足夠的人手。」
「我沒有足夠的時間。」
「我不知道自己能不能完成。」

但神從來不是把使命交給我們之後，便讓我們獨自承擔。神若真正呼召我們，祂也會按照祂的時間和方法預備所需要的資源。

這並不代表我們甚麼都不用做，而是我們不需要因自己的有限而害怕。我們要忠心使用神已經放在手中的，也要相信尚未看見的供應，神仍然能夠預備。

我們今天所擁有的金錢、時間、恩賜、人際關係和機會，本來都是從神而來。當我們奉獻給神時，不是把自己的東西送給祂，而是把祂先交託給我們的，重新放回祂的手中。

神所託付的，祂必預備所需要的資源。

二、神最大的供應，是祂的同在、生命和光照

經文：

「又用皂莢木做一張桌子……又用精金包裹，四圍鑲上金牙邊。」
——出埃及記37:10–11

「用精金做燈臺；這燈臺的座和幹，與杯、球、花，都是接連一塊錘出來的。」
——出埃及記37:17

第37章首先記載約櫃和施恩座，接着記載陳設餅桌和金燈臺。

約櫃代表神住在百姓中間；陳設餅桌代表神持續供應祂百姓生命的需要；金燈臺則在聖所裏發光，使祭司能夠看見前面的道路，繼續在神面前服事。

這讓我們看見，神的供應不只是外在的金錢、材料和人手。神最重要的供應，是祂自己的同在、每天所賜的生命，以及走下一步所需要的光照。

很多時候，我們希望神一次把未來幾年的安排全部告訴我們；如果看不清楚整條道路，我們便不敢向前走。但神通常不是一次把所有答案交給我們，而是每天供應我們所需要的力量，也給我們足夠的光走好眼前的一步。

我們害怕，可能不是因為神沒有供應，而是因為我們希望今天就得到明天才需要的答案。

陳設餅桌提醒我們，每天領受神的供應；金燈臺提醒我們，每天尋求神的光照。我們未必已經知道整條道路怎樣走，但只要神與我們同在，我們便可以忠心走好今天的一步。

三、神所供應的一切，要按照祂的心意使用

經文：

「他用皂莢木做香壇，是四方的……又用精金把壇的上面與壇的四面並壇的四角包裹，又在壇的四圍鑲上金牙邊。」
——出埃及記37:25–26

「又按做香之法做聖膏油和馨香料的淨香。」
——出埃及記37:29

第37章仔細記載每一件聖物的材料、尺寸、形狀和製作方法。比撒列雖然有能力，卻不能憑自己的喜好改變神所指示的樣式。

他可能擁有過往的經驗和技術，但過往的經驗不能取代神現在的吩咐。他需要把自己的能力降服在神的心意之下。

今天，我們也很容易依靠自己過去的經驗：「以前是這樣做的，所以今天也應該這樣做。」過去的經驗並不是沒有價值，神也可以使用我們曾經學習和經歷的一切；但經驗只能告訴我們以前怎樣做，不能代替神今天的帶領。

金香壇和馨香也提醒我們，要在禱告和敬拜中親近神、尋求神的心意。我們不只是問：「這個方法有沒有效果？」更要問：「這是不是神要我做的？我所使用的方法是否合乎神的心意？」

神供應我們資源和能力，不是幫助我們完成自己的理想，而是讓我們能夠忠心完成祂的心意。

真正的服事，不只是我願意為神做甚麼，而是我是否願意按照神的心意去做。

總結

《出埃及記》第37章讓我們看見，比撒列能夠完成約櫃、陳設餅桌、金燈臺和金香壇，不是因為他靠自己擁有一切，而是因為神已經預備了完成建造所需要的一切。

神供應了建造的材料，也藉着約櫃、陳設餅桌、金燈臺和金香壇，向百姓顯明祂更深的供應：祂的同在、生命、光照，以及人在禱告中與祂相交的道路。

所以，當神呼召我們踏上一條新的道路時，我們不需要因為資源不足而害怕，也不需要因為不知道下一步怎樣走而退縮。

神所呼召的，祂必供應；神所託付的，祂必帶領。

但是，我們也不能只是依靠自己的經驗和方法。神所供應的一切，必須按照神的心意使用，才能真正完成神所要建造的工作。

今天的信息可以濃縮成一句話：

神的工作，要用神所供應的一切，按照神所指示的方法來完成。

省察

1. 面對神放在我面前的責任，我是否只看見自己的不足，卻忽略了神已經給我的供應？
2. 我是否相信，神最大的供應不只是外在資源，更是祂的同在、生命和光照？
3. 我現在所使用的方法，是單靠過去的經驗，還是經過禱告、尋求神今天的心意？
4. 神所賜給我的時間、金錢、能力和經歷，我是否願意甘心交回給祂使用？

“Then Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood.”
—Exodus 37:1 NKJV

Introduction

Yesterday, we were supposed to read Exodus 37, but we accidentally read Exodus 38 first. Therefore, today we are returning to chapter 37. Although the order was changed for one day, it does not prevent us from understanding the complete message of the building of the tabernacle.

Chapter 36 records the construction of the tabernacle itself. Chapter 37 describes the ark, the table of showbread, the golden lampstand, and the altar of incense inside the tabernacle. Chapter 38 then records the bronze altar, the laver, and the outer court.

Throughout chapter 37, the word “made” appears repeatedly. Bezalel made the ark, the table, the lampstand, and the altar of incense. God did not simply give him the responsibility of building the tabernacle; God also provided everything needed to complete it.

The gold, silver, acacia wood, and other materials used for the tabernacle were willingly offered by the Israelites. Yet even these offerings were not entirely their own. The possessions they brought out of Egypt had first been given to them through God’s grace and provision.

Bezalel may have had knowledge and experience from the past, but he could not build the tabernacle according to what he had seen, learned, or done in Egypt. He had to place his abilities in God’s hands and follow the pattern God had revealed.

This shows us that our resources, abilities, and experiences have all come from God. When God calls us to follow Him, He does not give us only a responsibility without providing what we need. Whatever God entrusts to us, He will also provide for.

Transition

Through the four sacred objects recorded in Exodus 37, we see that when God calls us to walk a new path, He provides the resources we need and leads us through His presence, provision, and light. Our responsibility is to follow Him faithfully according to His will.

1. Whatever God Entrusts to Us, He Will Provide the Necessary Resources

Scripture:

“Then Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood… And he overlaid it with pure gold inside and outside.”
—Exodus 37:1–2 NKJV

Making the ark required acacia wood and a large amount of pure gold. It also required golden rings, poles, and cherubim. Bezalel could not have provided all these materials by himself.

However, when God commanded the Israelites to build the tabernacle, He had already moved the hearts of the people to give willingly. As a result, the materials needed for the work were fully supplied.

When God places a new responsibility before us, we often focus first on what we lack:

“I do not have enough money.”
“I do not have enough people.”
“I do not have enough time.”
“I do not know whether I can complete it.”

But God does not give us a mission and then leave us to carry it alone. If God has truly called us, He will provide the necessary resources according to His timing and His way.

This does not mean that we do nothing. It means that we do not need to be controlled by fear because of our limitations. We should faithfully use what God has already placed in our hands while trusting Him to provide what we have not yet received.

The money, time, gifts, relationships, and opportunities we have today all came from God. When we offer them to Him, we are not giving God something that belongs entirely to us. We are returning to Him what He first entrusted to us.

Whatever God entrusts to us, He will provide the necessary resources.

2. God’s Greatest Provision Is His Presence, Life, and Light

Scripture:

“He made the table of acacia wood… And he overlaid it with pure gold.”
—Exodus 37:10–11 NKJV

“He also made the lampstand of pure gold.”
—Exodus 37:17 NKJV

After describing the ark and the mercy seat, Exodus 37 records the making of the table of showbread and the golden lampstand.

The ark represented God dwelling among His people. The table of showbread represented God’s continuing provision for the life of His people. The golden lampstand gave light inside the Holy Place so that the priests could see and continue serving before God.

This shows us that God’s provision is more than money, materials, and people. His greatest provision is His presence, the daily life He gives us, and the light we need to take the next step.

We often want God to reveal His complete plan for the coming years. If we cannot see the whole road clearly, we become afraid to move forward. But God usually does not give us every answer at once. He gives us the strength we need for today and enough light to take the next step.

Sometimes we are afraid not because God has failed to provide, but because we want today the answers that we will only need tomorrow.

The table of showbread reminds us to receive God’s provision each day. The lampstand reminds us to seek His light each day. We may not know exactly where the whole journey will lead, but if God is with us, we can faithfully take today’s step.

3. Everything God Provides Must Be Used According to His Will

Scripture:

“He made the incense altar of acacia wood. Its length was a cubit and its width a cubit.”
—Exodus 37:25 NKJV

“He also made the holy anointing oil and the pure incense of sweet spices.”
—Exodus 37:29 NKJV

Exodus 37 carefully describes the materials, measurements, shapes, and methods used to make each sacred object. Although Bezalel was highly skilled, he could not change God’s pattern according to his own preferences.

This shows us that ability itself is not the most important thing. What matters is whether we are willing to submit our abilities to God’s will.

God can use the knowledge, working experience, and life lessons we have gained in the past. However, we cannot treat our past experience as the only answer for today. Experience can tell us what worked before, but it cannot replace God’s present direction.

We often decide what we want to do according to our own ideas and ask God to help us only when problems arise. But Bezalel did not work in this way. He first received God’s pattern and then used the materials and abilities God had provided to complete God’s instructions faithfully.

The altar of incense and the fragrant incense also remind us to draw near to God in prayer and worship and to seek His will. We should not ask only, “Will this method work?” We must also ask, “Is this what God wants me to do? Does this method agree with His will?”

God does not provide resources and abilities merely to help us accomplish our own plans. He provides them so that we can faithfully fulfil His will.

True service is not simply about what I am willing to do for God. It is about whether I am willing to do it according to God’s heart.

Conclusion

Exodus 37 shows us that Bezalel completed the ark, the table of showbread, the golden lampstand, and the altar of incense not because he possessed everything by himself, but because God had already provided everything necessary for the work.

God provided the building materials. Through the ark, the table, the lampstand, and the altar of incense, He also revealed His deeper provision: His presence, life, light, and the way to fellowship with Him in prayer.

Therefore, when God calls us to walk a new path, we do not need to be afraid because our resources seem insufficient. We do not need to withdraw because we cannot yet see the next step.

What God calls us to do, He will provide for.
What God entrusts to us, He will lead us to complete.

At the same time, we must not depend only on our own experience and methods. Everything God provides must be used according to His will so that His work may truly be accomplished.

Today’s message can be summarised in one sentence:

God’s work must be completed with what God provides and according to the way God directs.

Reflection

1. When I face the responsibilities before me, do I focus only on what I lack and overlook what God has already provided?
2. Do I believe that God’s greatest provision is not merely external resources, but His presence, life, and light?
3. Am I depending only on past experience, or am I praying and seeking God’s will for today?
4. Am I willing to place the time, money, abilities, and experiences God has given me back into His hands?
