主題經文「要照着在山上指示你的樣式立起帳幕。」——出埃及記26:30
閱讀出埃及記第26章，我們會不斷看見「要」這個字：要用十幅幔子做帳幕；要繡上基路伯；要製造山羊毛幔子；要做豎板、銀座和閂；要掛上幔子，分隔聖所與至聖所；最後，還要按照神在山上所指示的樣式立起會幕。
這一切都不是偶然的安排。第25章已經清楚說明，神吩咐建造會幕的目的：「又當為我造聖所，使我可以住在他們中間。」——出埃及記25:8
過去，神一直主動向以色列人施恩。祂拯救他們離開埃及，帶領他們經過紅海，在曠野供應食物和水，也一路保守他們前行。如今，神不只要把他們從埃及帶出來，更要住在他們中間，使他們成為屬祂的百姓。
然而，聖潔的神住在百姓中間，並不表示人可以隨意親近祂。會幕的每一個部分都必須按照神的指示建造。神的恩典是主動的，但神的恩典不是叫人隨意，而是帶領人進入順服和聖潔。
會幕不只是一座帳篷，更是神同在的居所。第26章讓我們看見，神如何為祂所救贖的百姓設立親近祂的道路，並教導他們按照祂的心意，活在祂的同在中。
出埃及記第26章透過會幕的幔子、結構和分隔，帶領我們一步一步看見：神主動為人預備親近祂的道路；我們要以順服回應祂，並讓神的同在成為生命的中心。
一、神主動為人預備親近祂的道路
「你要用十幅幔子做帳幕。這些幔子要用撚的細麻和藍色、紫色、朱紅色線製造，並用巧匠的手工繡上基路伯。」——出埃及記26:1
會幕本身由十幅精美的幔子連接而成，這是會幕最內層的幔子，上面繡有基路伯。人在會幕裡面抬頭，便會看見基路伯的圖案。在這層幔子上面，還覆蓋着山羊毛幔子、染紅的公羊皮，以及最外層用來保護會幕的皮革頂蓋。因此，繡有基路伯的幔子不是給外面的人觀看，而是在會幕裡面才能看見。這些基路伯讓我們想起創世記第三章。
亞當和夏娃犯罪之後，被逐出伊甸園。神在伊甸園的東邊安設基路伯，把守通往生命樹的道路。從那時開始，人因為罪離開了神的同在，不能靠自己的努力和方法回到神面前。到了出埃及記第26章，基路伯的形象再次出現，並且繡在會幕最內層的幔子上。這首先提醒以色列人：神是聖潔的，人不能輕率、隨意地進入祂的同在。
第26章後面記載，神吩咐摩西用幔子分隔聖所和至聖所：「這幔子要將聖所和至聖所隔開。」——出埃及記26:33
約櫃放在至聖所裡。在舊約的制度下，只有大祭司能在每年一次的贖罪日，按照神所吩咐的方式，帶着祭牲的血進入至聖所，為百姓贖罪。這幅幔子清楚表明：罪的阻隔仍然存在，人不能靠自己自由進入至聖所。
然而，神並沒有因此離棄祂的百姓。相反，神主動來到他們中間，設立會幕、祭司和獻祭的制度，使祂所救贖的百姓，可以按照祂所預備的方法親近祂。從伊甸園開始，是人因犯罪離開神；到了會幕，卻是神主動住到百姓中間。會幕所設立的道路仍然有限，卻顯明了神願意與人同住的心。
這條親近神的道路，最終在耶穌基督裡完全打開。當耶穌在十字架上斷氣的時候，馬太福音記載：「忽然，殿裡的幔子從上到下裂為兩半。」——馬太福音27:51
請留意，幔子不是從下到上裂開，而是從上到下裂開。這條道路不是人靠着自己的努力，從地上向上打開的；而是神主動施恩，從上面為人打開的。
希伯來書也告訴我們：「弟兄們，我們既因耶穌的血得以坦然進入至聖所，是藉着祂給我們開了一條又新又活的路，從幔子經過，這幔子就是祂的身體。」——希伯來書10:19–20
耶穌在十字架上為我們捨棄身體、流出寶血，承擔了罪的刑罰，除去了人與神之間的阻隔，使我們可以靠着祂坦然來到神面前。今天，我們能夠回到神的同在，不是因為自己的行為和功勞，也不是因為我們比別人更好，而是因為神主動施恩，耶穌已經為我們成就救贖。
有時候，我們失敗了、軟弱了，便以為自己要先把生命整理好，才可以回到神面前。但福音告訴我們：不是先把自己整理好，才來到神面前；而是先靠着耶穌回到神面前，讓神赦免、潔淨並重新整理我們的生命。回到神的同在，首先不是人的努力，而是神主動的恩典。
二、我們要順服神所設立的道路
「要照着在山上指示你的樣式立起帳幕。」——出埃及記26:30
第26章對會幕的每一個細節都有清楚的要求：幔子的數量、尺寸、顏色和材料；鈕扣與金鉤的做法；豎板、銀座和閂的位置；聖所與至聖所的分隔，全都由神親自指示。
摩西不能按照自己的意思設計，也不能因為自己曾經在埃及王宮生活、見過宏偉的建築，就把埃及廟宇的樣式帶進會幕。
神清楚吩咐摩西：「要照着在山上指示你的樣式立起帳幕。」這讓我們看見，神已經為人預備親近祂的道路，但人不能按照自己的喜好、經驗和方法來到祂面前。我們必須按照神的心意，以敬畏和順服回應祂。
順服不是用來換取神的恩典，而是蒙恩之人對神應有的回應。以色列人不是因為建造會幕才得到拯救。他們先蒙神拯救，離開埃及，然後才接受神的吩咐，學習如何作屬神的百姓。
這個次序非常重要：先有神的拯救，然後才有人的順服；先有神的恩典，然後才有生命的回應。同樣，我們今天不是靠着順服賺取救恩，而是因為已經在基督裡蒙恩得救，所以願意順服神、回應神。
但是，我們不能一面說渴慕神的同在，一面卻拒絕神對生命的要求；也不能只想得到神的供應、保守和祝福，卻不願意讓神調整自己的思想、行為和生命次序。真正親近神，不只是參加聚會、唱詩和禱告，更是願意讓神的話語進入我們的生命，改變我們的心思、態度、選擇和行為。
當神的話語光照我們，使我們看見生命中有不討祂喜悅的地方，我們不是逃避神，而是回到祂面前認罪悔改，讓祂潔淨和更新我們。神因基督的救贖接納我們，不再按我們的罪定我們的罪；但祂也不會任由我們停留在罪和軟弱之中。祂會用真理光照我們，以恩典扶持我們，也藉着聖靈不斷改變我們。
神的恩典不是叫我們繼續隨從自己的意思生活，而是賜給我們力量，使我們可以放下自己的方法，跟隨祂的心意。神已經為我們預備道路，現在的問題是：我們是否願意放下自己的方法，按照祂的話語回到祂面前？
三、讓神的同在成為生命的中心
「桌子要安在幔子外帳幕的北面；把燈臺安在帳幕的南面，彼此相對。」——出埃及記26:35
神不只是要以色列人建造一座會幕，更要住在百姓中間。以色列人在埃及生活多年，他們所看見的廟宇，都是固定、宏偉而華麗的建築。相比之下，神所吩咐建造的會幕，從外面看來並不雄偉。會幕由幔子、木板、銀座和皮革組成，是一座可以拆卸、搬運和重新搭建的帳幕。
然而，當人一層一層進入會幕，就會發現裡面完全不同。從外層的遮蓋，進入精美的幔子，再到聖所和至聖所，人所看見的是神同在的榮耀、聖潔與次序。神不是按照以色列人在埃及累積的經驗建立祂的居所，也不是要建造一座讓人炫耀的宗教建築。祂所看重的，不是外面的宏偉，而是祂是否住在百姓中間，成為他們生命的中心。會幕設立在以色列百姓中間，也能隨着他們在曠野前行。
當百姓起行，會幕可以拆卸和搬運；當百姓安營，會幕便再次設立。無論他們走到哪裡，神都要住在他們中間，帶領他們走過曠野的道路。神不只要百姓偶然來到祂面前，祂更要成為他們整個生活的中心。祂的同在要影響他們如何敬拜、如何生活、如何與人相處，也要帶領他們走前面的道路。
同樣，神不只要在星期日的教會裡與我們相遇，也不只要在晨禱、唱詩和聚會的時候與我們同在。祂要進入我們每天的家庭、工作、服侍、困難和選擇之中。當我們在家庭中面對衝突，神的同在是否影響我們說話的態度？當我們在工作中面對壓力，神的同在是否成為我們的力量？當我們需要作出決定，神的話語是否成為我們的方向？當我們忙於服侍，神自己是否仍然是我們所渴慕的中心？
回到神的同在，不只是一次感動的經歷，也不是在遇到困難時才尋求神。神渴望我們每天住在祂的同在中，讓祂的話語引導我們，讓祂的心意調整我們，讓祂的同在成為生活的中心。重要的不是外面看起來多麼輝煌，而是裡面有沒有神的同在；重要的不是我們擁有多少宗教活動，而是神在我們生命中是否真正居首位。
我們可能每天都很忙，也可能參與很多服侍；但如果失去了神的同在，外面所做的一切便不能代替裡面與神的關係。神不只是要我們找到回到祂面前的道路，更要我們進入祂的同在，讓祂在我們裡面居住、掌權，成為我們整個生命的中心。
出埃及記第26章表面上記載的是會幕的結構和建造方法，背後卻顯明了神渴望與人同住的心。人因犯罪離開伊甸園，失去了神的同在；但神沒有放棄人。祂主動來到以色列人中間，設立會幕，為祂所救贖的百姓預備親近祂的道路。然而，神的同在是聖潔的。以色列人不能按照自己的喜好和經驗建造會幕，而要按照神在山上所指示的樣式完成。
神的恩典呼召人順服，神的同在也呼召人活出聖潔。會幕不像埃及的廟宇那樣宏偉，卻設立在百姓中間，也能隨着他們在曠野前行。神所看重的不是外面的輝煌，而是祂能否住在百姓中間，成為他們生命的中心。
今天，藉着耶穌基督，回到神面前的道路已經完全打開。聖殿的幔子從上到下裂開，表明這條道路不是人靠自己的努力打開，而是神藉着基督主動為我們打開。因此，當我們失敗和軟弱的時候，不要逃避神，也不必等到自己變好了才回到神面前。我們可以靠着耶穌的寶血坦然來到施恩的寶座前，領受赦免、憐憫和更新。
問題不再是神是否願意讓我們親近祂，而是我們是否願意回到祂面前，順服祂的話語，並讓祂的同在成為生命的中心。神主動預備道路，我們以順服回應，並讓祂的同在成為生命的中心。
省察
- 當我失敗和軟弱的時候，我是逃避神，還是靠着耶穌的恩典回到祂面前？
- 我是否只想領受神的恩典、供應和祝福，卻不願意讓神的話語調整我的生命？
- 在我的家庭、工作、服侍和每天的選擇中，神的同在是否真正成為生命的中心？
禱告
親愛的天父，感謝祢沒有因為人的犯罪而放棄我們，反而主動來到我們中間，為我們預備親近祢的道路。
感謝祢藉着耶穌基督的身體和寶血，除去罪的阻隔。當主耶穌在十字架上為我們捨命，聖殿的幔子從上到下裂為兩半，祢親自為我們打開了一條又新又活的道路，使我們可以坦然進入祢的同在。
主啊，求祢赦免我們。當我們失敗和軟弱的時候，我們常常逃避祢，以為要先把自己整理好，才可以回到祢面前。
求祢幫助我們明白，我們不是因為自己配得才來親近祢，而是因為耶穌已經為我們成就救贖。讓我們靠着祢的恩典回到祢面前，領受祢的赦免、潔淨和更新。
主啊，也求祢赦免我們，常常只想領受祢的恩典和祝福，卻不願意順服祢的心意；只渴望祢的同在，卻不願意讓祢改變我們的生命。
求祢賜給我們一顆敬畏、聖潔和順服的心，使我們不再按照自己的喜好和經驗跟隨祢，而是按照祢的話語行在祢的道路上。
當祢的話語光照我們，求祢賜給我們謙卑受教的心，使我們願意認罪、悔改，放下自己的方法，接受祢的調整和帶領。
主啊，求祢不只在聚會和晨禱中與我們同在，更進入我們每天的家庭、工作、服侍、困難和選擇之中。
當我們面對壓力，求祢成為我們的力量；當我們感到迷惘，求祢成為我們的亮光；當我們作出選擇，求祢的話語成為我們腳前的燈、路上的光。
願祢的同在成為我們生命的中心。願我們的生命成為祢所喜悅的居所，讓祢在我們裡面居住、掌權並引導我們，使人從我們的生命中看見祢的恩典、聖潔和榮耀。

Key Verse
“And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.” —Exodus 26:30, NKJV
Introduction
As we read Exodus 26, we repeatedly see the words “you shall”:
You shall make ten curtains for the tabernacle. You shall weave cherubim into them. You shall make curtains of goats’ hair. You shall make boards, silver sockets, and bars. You shall hang a veil to separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. Finally, you shall raise up the tabernacle according to the pattern God showed Moses on the mountain.
None of these instructions were given by accident. Exodus 25 has already explained why God commanded the Israelites to build the tabernacle:
“And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.” —Exodus 25:8, NKJV
God had always taken the initiative to show grace to the Israelites. He rescued them from Egypt, led them through the Red Sea, provided food and water in the wilderness, and protected them throughout their journey.
Now, God did not only want to bring them out of Egypt. He wanted to dwell among them and make them His people.
However, the holy God dwelling among His people did not mean that they could approach Him carelessly. Every part of the tabernacle had to be built according to God’s instructions.
God’s grace takes the initiative, but His grace does not allow us to live carelessly. His grace leads us into obedience and holiness.
The tabernacle was not merely a tent. It was the dwelling place of God’s presence. Exodus 26 shows us how God established a way for His redeemed people to approach Him and taught them to live in His presence according to His will.
Through the curtains, structure, and divisions of the tabernacle, Exodus 26 shows us three important truths: God takes the initiative to prepare a way for us to approach Him; we must respond to Him with obedience; and we must allow His presence to become the centre of our lives.
- God Takes the Initiative to Prepare a Way for Us to Approach Him
Scripture
“Moreover you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine woven linen and blue, purple, and scarlet thread; with artistic designs of cherubim you shall weave them.” —Exodus 26:1, NKJV
The tabernacle itself was formed by ten beautiful curtains joined together. These were the innermost curtains of the tabernacle, and cherubim were woven into them. When someone inside the tabernacle looked up, they would see the images of the cherubim.
Above these curtains were curtains made of goats’ hair, a covering of ram skins dyed red, and an outer covering made of durable animal skins. Therefore, the curtains with the cherubim were not visible to people standing outside. They could only be seen from inside the tabernacle.
These cherubim remind us of Genesis 3.
After Adam and Eve sinned, they were driven out of the Garden of Eden. God placed cherubim at the east of the garden to guard the way to the tree of life. From that moment, humanity was separated from God’s presence because of sin. People could not return to God through their own efforts or methods.
In Exodus 26, the images of cherubim appear again on the innermost curtains of the tabernacle. They reminded the Israelites that God is holy. People could not enter His presence carelessly or casually.
Later in the chapter, God commanded Moses to hang a veil between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place:
“The veil shall be a divider for you between the holy place and the Most Holy.” —Exodus 26:33, NKJV
The ark of the covenant was placed inside the Most Holy Place. Under the Old Testament system, only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place on the annual Day of Atonement. He had to enter in the way God commanded, carrying the blood of the sacrifice to make atonement for the people.
The veil clearly showed that the barrier caused by sin still remained. People could not freely enter the Most Holy Place by themselves.
Nevertheless, God did not abandon His people. Instead, He came to dwell among them. He established the tabernacle, the priesthood, and the sacrificial system so that His redeemed people could approach Him in the way He had provided.
In the Garden of Eden, humanity sinned and departed from God. In the tabernacle, however, God took the initiative to come and dwell among His people. The way provided through the tabernacle was still limited, but it revealed God’s desire to dwell with humanity.
This way into God’s presence was finally and completely opened through Jesus Christ.
When Jesus died on the cross, Matthew records:
“Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.” —Matthew 27:51, NKJV
Notice that the veil was not torn from the bottom to the top. It was torn from the top to the bottom.
This way was not opened by human beings striving upward from the earth. It was opened from above by God Himself through His grace.
The book of Hebrews tells us:
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh.” —Hebrews 10:19–20, NKJV
Jesus gave His body and shed His blood for us on the cross. He bore the punishment for our sins and removed the barrier between humanity and God. Through Him, we can now come boldly into God’s presence.
Today, we can return to God’s presence not because of our good works or achievements, and not because we are better than other people. We can return because God took the initiative to show us grace, and Jesus has completed the work of redemption for us.
Sometimes, after we have failed or become weak, we think that we must first put our lives back in order before we can return to God.
But the gospel tells us that we do not need to put ourselves in order before coming to God. We come to God through Jesus, and then allow Him to forgive, cleanse, restore, and put our lives back in order.
Returning to God’s presence begins not with human effort, but with God’s grace.
- We Must Obey the Way God Has Established
“And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.” —Exodus 26:30, NKJV
Exodus 26 gives clear instructions about every detail of the tabernacle:
The number, size, colour, and material of the curtains; the loops and gold clasps; the position of the boards, silver sockets, and bars; and the division between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place—all these details were given by God Himself.
Moses could not design the tabernacle according to his own ideas. He could not use the style of Egyptian temples simply because he had grown up in the palace and had seen many impressive buildings in Egypt.
God clearly commanded Moses:
“And you shall raise up the tabernacle according to its pattern which you were shown on the mountain.”
This teaches us that although God has prepared a way for us to approach Him, we cannot come to Him merely according to our own preferences, experiences, and methods.
We must respond to God with reverence and obedience, according to His will.
Obedience is not a way to earn God’s grace. Obedience is the proper response of those who have already received His grace.
The Israelites were not rescued because they built the tabernacle. God first rescued them from Egypt. Only afterwards did He give them His instructions and teach them how to live as His people.
This order is very important:
First comes God’s salvation, and then comes our obedience. First comes God’s grace, and then comes the response of our lives.
In the same way, we do not earn salvation through obedience. We obey and respond to God because we have already received salvation through Christ.
However, we cannot say that we desire God’s presence while rejecting His requirements for our lives. We cannot only desire His provision, protection, and blessings while refusing to let Him change our thoughts, behaviour, and priorities.
Truly drawing near to God involves more than attending church, singing worship songs, and praying. It means allowing God’s Word to enter our lives and change our thoughts, attitudes, choices, and actions.
When God’s Word shines upon us and reveals something in our lives that does not please Him, we should not run away from Him. We should return to Him in repentance and allow Him to cleanse and renew us.
Because of Christ’s redemption, God accepts us and no longer condemns us for our sins. However, He will not leave us trapped in sin and weakness.
He uses His truth to reveal our condition, His grace to strengthen us, and His Holy Spirit to transform us continually.
God’s grace does not give us permission to continue living according to our own desires. His grace gives us the strength to lay down our own ways and follow His will.
God has already prepared the way. The question is: Are we willing to lay down our own methods and return to Him according to His Word?
- Let God’s Presence Become the Centre of Our Lives
“You shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand across from the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; and you shall put the table on the north side.” —Exodus 26:35, NKJV
God did not only want the Israelites to build a tabernacle. He wanted to dwell among them.
The Israelites had lived in Egypt for many years. The temples they saw there were permanent, impressive, and magnificent buildings.
By comparison, the tabernacle God commanded them to build did not appear magnificent from the outside.
It was made of curtains, wooden boards, silver sockets, and animal skins. It could be taken apart, carried to another place, and rebuilt.
However, when someone entered the tabernacle layer by layer, they would discover something completely different. From the outer coverings to the beautiful inner curtains, and then into the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place, everything revealed the glory, holiness, and order of God’s presence.
God did not build His dwelling place according to the experiences the Israelites had gained in Egypt. Neither did He want to build a religious structure for people to admire and display.
God’s greatest concern was not outward magnificence. His concern was whether He could dwell among His people and become the centre of their lives.
The tabernacle was placed among the people of Israel, and it could travel with them through the wilderness.
When the people moved, the tabernacle could be taken down and carried with them. When they camped, it could be raised again. Wherever they went, God desired to dwell among them and lead them through their wilderness journey.
God did not want His people to approach Him only occasionally. He wanted to become the centre of their entire lives.
His presence was to influence how they worshipped, how they lived, how they treated one another, and how they travelled on the road ahead.
In the same way, God does not only want to meet us in church on Sunday. Neither does He want to be with us only during morning prayer, worship, or church meetings.
He wants to enter every part of our daily lives—our families, work, ministry, difficulties, and decisions.
When we face conflict in our families, does God’s presence influence the way we speak?
When we face pressure at work, does God’s presence become our strength?
When we need to make a decision, does God’s Word give us direction?
When we are busy serving, is God Himself still the One we desire most?
Returning to God’s presence is not simply a single emotional experience. Neither should we seek Him only when we encounter difficulties.
God desires us to live in His presence every day. He wants His Word to guide us, His will to correct us, and His presence to become the centre of our daily lives.
The most important question is not how impressive we appear on the outside, but whether God’s presence is within us.
The most important question is not how many religious activities we have, but whether God truly has first place in our lives.
We may be busy every day, and we may be involved in many areas of ministry. But if we lose God’s presence, nothing we do outwardly can replace our inner relationship with Him.
God does not only want us to find the way back to Him. He wants us to enter His presence and allow Him to dwell within us, rule over us, and become the centre of our entire lives.
Conclusion
On the surface, Exodus 26 records the structure of the tabernacle and the instructions for building it. Behind all these details, however, we see God’s desire to dwell with humanity.
Humanity sinned and was driven out of the Garden of Eden, losing the presence of God. But God did not give up on us.
He took the initiative to come and dwell among the Israelites. He established the tabernacle and prepared a way for His redeemed people to approach Him.
Nevertheless, God’s presence is holy. The Israelites could not build the tabernacle according to their own preferences or experiences. They had to follow the pattern God had shown Moses on the mountain.
God’s grace calls us to obedience, and God’s presence calls us to live holy lives.
The tabernacle was not as magnificent as the temples of Egypt. Yet it stood among the people and travelled with them through the wilderness.
God’s greatest concern was not outward glory. His concern was whether He could dwell among His people and become the centre of their lives.
Today, through Jesus Christ, the way back into God’s presence has been completely opened.
The veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom. This shows us that the way was not opened through human effort. God Himself opened it for us through Christ.
Therefore, when we fail or become weak, we should not run away from God. Neither do we need to wait until we have improved ourselves before returning to Him.
Through the blood of Jesus, we can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive forgiveness, mercy, and renewal.
The question is no longer whether God is willing to let us approach Him. The question is whether we are willing to return to Him, obey His Word, and allow His presence to become the centre of our lives.
God takes the initiative to prepare the way. We respond with obedience and allow His presence to become the centre of our lives.
Reflection
- When I fail or become weak, do I run away from God, or do I return to Him through the grace of Jesus?
- Do I only desire God’s grace, provision, and blessings while refusing to let His Word change my life?
- In my family, work, ministry, and daily decisions, is God’s presence truly the centre of my life?
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for not giving up on us because of our sins. Instead, You took the initiative to come among us and prepare a way for us to approach You.
Thank You for removing the barrier of sin through the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
When Jesus gave His life for us on the cross, the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom. You personally opened a new and living way for us so that we may enter Your presence with confidence.
Lord, please forgive us. When we fail or become weak, we often run away from You. We think that we must first put our lives back in order before we can return to You.
Help us understand that we do not approach You because we are worthy. We come because Jesus has already completed the work of redemption for us.
Help us return to You through Your grace and receive Your forgiveness, cleansing, and renewal.
Lord, forgive us for often desiring only Your grace and blessings while refusing to obey Your will. We desire Your presence, but we are not always willing to let You change our lives.
Please give us hearts that fear You and desire holiness and obedience. Help us not to follow You according to our own preferences and experiences, but to walk in Your ways according to Your Word.
When Your Word shines upon our lives, give us humble and teachable hearts. Help us to repent, lay down our own ways, and receive Your correction and guidance.
Lord, we ask You not only to be with us in church meetings and morning prayer, but also to enter our daily families, work, ministry, difficulties, and decisions.
When we face pressure, be our strength. When we feel confused, be our light. When we make decisions, let Your Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.
May Your presence become the centre of our lives. May our lives become a dwelling place that pleases You.
Dwell within us, rule over us, and guide us, so that others may see Your grace, holiness, and glory through our lives.
