主題經文：「摩西對百姓說：不要懼怕，只管站住！看耶和華今天向你們所要施行的救恩。」——出埃及記14:13

引言

《出埃及記》第14章，不只是記載以色列人如何走過紅海，更是記載神如何帶領一群作了四百三十年奴僕的人，開始走進祂為他們預備的命定。

神的心意不只是把以色列人從埃及救出來，更要使他們成為屬祂的百姓，成為耶和華的軍隊，走向祂所應許之地。因此，他們離開埃及之後，不是單單趕路，也不是儘快走完曠野的旅程。神要他們在每一步的路上不斷認識祂、經歷祂，並學習信靠祂。

第13章告訴我們，神白天用雲柱、夜間用火柱帶領他們，雲柱和火柱總不離開百姓。這表示以色列人所走的每一步，都在神的帶領和同在之中。

可是到了第14章，神竟然吩咐摩西叫以色列人「轉回」，並且在紅海前安營。這條路看起來並不合理：前面是紅海，後面是法老的戰車和追兵，旁邊又是曠野。他們好像被困在一個完全沒有出路的地方。

然而，這不是因為神帶錯了路，而是神要在這條路上彰顯祂的榮耀。以色列人看見的是絕境，神看見的卻是祂要施行的拯救；法老以為他們被困住了，神卻要在沒有道路之處為他們開路。

走進神的命定，不只是離開過去，也不只是到達一個新的地方；更是讓神除去我們裏面的奴僕心態，使我們從懼怕進入信靠，從埋怨進入順服，從倚靠自己進入跟隨神。

一、走進神的命定，有時要走看不明白的路

經文：「你吩咐以色列人轉回，安營在比哈希錄前，密奪和海的中間，對着巴力洗分，靠近海邊安營。」——出埃及記14:2

神親自吩咐以色列人「轉回」，並且靠近海邊安營。從人的角度來看，這似乎不是前進，而是倒退；不是走向安全，反而是把自己放在危險之中。

法老看見以色列人所走的路，便以為他們迷路了：

「法老必說：以色列人在地中繞迷了，曠野把他們困住了。」——出埃及記14:3

法老以為曠野困住了以色列人，卻不知道這條路是神親自帶領的。神把百姓帶到紅海前，不是要他們滅亡，而是要他們看見耶和華的能力。

走進神所預備的道路，不代表每一步都容易，也不代表我們立刻明白神所有的安排。有時神叫我們前進，有時神叫我們轉回，有時神叫我們停下安營。神的帶領未必符合人的判斷，卻從來不會離開祂的心意。

當我們看不明白的時候，很容易懷疑自己是否走錯了路，也容易懷疑神是否仍然與我們同在。然而，雲柱和火柱仍然在那裏。百姓雖然看不見前面的路，神的同在卻沒有離開他們。

走進神的命定，第一個要學習的功課，就是順服。真正的信心不是所有事情都已經看清楚，而是在看不明白的時候，仍然相信帶領我們的神。

二、走進神的命定，內心的懼怕必須被對付

經文：「法老臨近的時候，以色列人舉目看見埃及人趕來，就甚懼怕，向耶和華哀求。」——出埃及記14:10

第8節說，以色列人原本是「昂然無懼地」離開埃及。他們親眼看見十災，經歷逾越節的拯救，也帶着埃及人的金器、銀器和衣裳離開。

可是，當法老的軍隊追趕而來，他們便立刻「甚懼怕」。他們不但向摩西發怨言，甚至說：「服事埃及人比死在曠野還好。」——出埃及記14:12

他們的身體已經離開埃及，內心卻仍然受到埃及的控制。四百三十年作奴僕的生活，使他們習慣了恐懼，也習慣了服從法老。當困難來到，他們第一個想法不是神能否拯救他們，而是回到埃及繼續作奴僕。

離開埃及可以在一個晚上發生，但奴僕心態的改變卻需要一段旅程。神不只是要改變他們所處的位置，更要改變他們裏面的生命。

所以，紅海前的危機顯露出以色列人內心真正的光景。他們以為自己已經不再懼怕，但困難一來，埋藏在心裏的恐懼便全部顯露出來。

面對百姓的恐懼，摩西對他們說：「不要懼怕，只管站住！看耶和華今天向你們所要施行的救恩。」——出埃及記14:13

「站住」不是消極地甚麼都不做，而是不再讓懼怕控制自己，不因環境混亂便埋怨、逃跑或回到過去。站住，就是把心重新安定在神裏面，把目光從追兵和紅海轉向耶和華。

神有時容許困難臨到，不是要我們失敗，而是要顯明我們生命中仍然需要被祂改變的地方。環境顯露我們的懼怕，神卻要在環境中訓練我們信靠祂。

走進神的命定，不能一直帶着過去的奴僕心態。神要將我們從懼怕中釋放出來，使我們真正知道：我們不再屬於法老，我們乃是屬於耶和華的百姓。

三、走進神的命定，要在信靠中跟隨神向前

經文：「耶和華對摩西說：你為甚麼向我哀求呢？你吩咐以色列人往前走。」——出埃及記14:15

摩西先對百姓說：「只管站住！」接着，神卻吩咐他們：「往前走！」

站住與往前走並沒有衝突。站住，是停止被懼怕和血氣控制；往前走，是在信靠中順服神的吩咐。

神又向他們宣告：「耶和華必為你們爭戰；你們只管靜默，不要作聲。」——出埃及記14:14

以色列人曾經作奴僕四百三十年，他們沒有足夠的战車和武器，也沒有能力抵擋埃及的精銳軍隊。若靠自己的力量，這是一場不可能得勝的爭戰。

然而，耶和華親自為他們爭戰。神使雲柱從百姓前面轉到他們後面，停在以色列人和埃及軍隊中間。神不但在前面為他們開路，也在後面保守他們，使過去奴役他們的權勢不能再次把他們捉回去。

當摩西向海伸杖，神使海水分開，海就成為乾地。可是，以色列人仍然需要踏出信心的一步，走進神所開的道路。

「耶和華為我們爭戰」並不代表我們不用回應，而是我們不再倚靠自己的能力和血氣。神負責開路，我們負責跟從；神施行拯救，我們以順服回應；神彰顯能力，我們憑信心向前。

全章最後，以色列人看見神所施行的拯救：「以色列人看見耶和華向埃及人所行的大事，就敬畏耶和華，又信服他和他的僕人摩西。」——出埃及記14:31

這才是第14章的高潮。神不只是把紅海分開，更使百姓開始敬畏祂、信靠祂。神要建立的，不只是一條通過紅海的道路，更是一群真正認識祂、信靠祂、跟隨祂的百姓。

總結

神帶領以色列人離開埃及，不是要他們匆忙趕完一段路，而是要他們在旅程中不斷認識祂。

走進神的命定，有時會遇到看不明白的道路；走進神的命定，我們內心的懼怕也會被顯露；但走進神的命定，我們必須學習信靠神，跟隨祂向前。

紅海不是神帶領錯誤的證明，而是神彰顯榮耀的地方。前面雖然沒有道路，但神自己就是道路；後面雖然有追兵，但耶和華親自為祂的百姓爭戰。

神帶領我們走進祂的命定，不只是要改變我們外面的環境，更要改變我們裏面的生命。祂要除去我們作奴僕時所留下的恐懼，使我們恢復成為屬祂的百姓，成為耶和華的軍隊。

今天，神仍然對我們說：不要懼怕，只管站住，觀看神所施行的拯救；不要回到過去，要相信耶和華必為我們爭戰；不要停留在恐懼中，要順服神的吩咐，勇敢往前走。

省察

1. 當神所帶領的道路與我的想法不同時，我是否仍然願意順服祂？
2. 面對困難時，我是想回到熟悉的過去，還是相信神會為我開出新的道路？

禱告

親愛的天父，感謝祢帶領我離開過去，走進祢為我預備的道路。當我看不明白祢的安排時，求祢幫助我仍然順服；當困難顯露我內心的懼怕時，求祢使我安靜站立，專心信靠祢。

求祢除去我生命中的奴僕心態，使我不再回到過去，卻相信祢必為我爭戰。即使前面好像沒有道路，仍求祢賜我信心，跟隨祢勇敢向前。

願我在每一段旅程中更多認識祢、敬畏祢、信靠祢，活出祢在我生命中的命定。奉主耶穌基督的名禱告，阿們。

Introduction

Exodus 14 is not only about Israel crossing the Red Sea. It is also about God leading a people who had lived as slaves for 430 years into His purpose for their lives.

God did not simply want to bring them out of Egypt. He wanted to make them His people, the army of the LORD, and lead them towards the Promised Land. Therefore, their journey through the wilderness was not merely about reaching a destination. It was a journey of learning to know, trust, and follow the LORD.

In Exodus 13, God led them by a pillar of cloud during the day and a pillar of fire at night. His presence never left them. Yet in chapter 14, God told them to turn back and camp beside the sea. Before them was the Red Sea, behind them was Pharaoh’s army, and around them was the wilderness.

This was not because God had led them in the wrong direction. God intentionally brought them to a place where they could not depend on themselves, so that they might witness His salvation and know Him more deeply.

Walking into God’s purpose does not only mean leaving our past behind. It also means allowing God to remove the fear and slave mentality within us, teaching us to trust Him and follow Him forward.

1. Walking into God’s purpose may take us along a road we do not understand

“Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn and camp before Pi Hahiroth.” — Exodus 14:2 NKJV

God Himself told Israel to turn back and camp beside the sea. From a human perspective, this did not look like progress. It seemed that they were placing themselves in danger.

Pharaoh thought that Israel was confused and trapped in the wilderness. However, he did not know that God Himself had led them there. What Israel saw as a dead end would become the place where God revealed His glory.

Following God does not mean that we will immediately understand every step. Sometimes God tells us to move forward; sometimes He tells us to turn back; and sometimes He tells us to stop and wait.

True faith is not having the whole road clearly before us. It is trusting the One who is leading us, even when we cannot understand the road.

2. Walking into God’s purpose requires our fear to be dealt with

“When Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid.” — Exodus 14:10 NKJV

Verse 8 tells us that Israel left Egypt “with boldness.” Yet when they saw Pharaoh’s army approaching, they became terrified. They complained to Moses and even said that it would have been better to remain as slaves in Egypt.

Their bodies had left Egypt, but Egypt had not yet left their hearts. After 430 years of slavery, fear and a slave mentality were deeply rooted within them.

Leaving Egypt happened in one night, but removing the slave mentality would require a journey with God. God did not only want to change their location; He wanted to transform their hearts.

Moses therefore said: “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD.” — Exodus 14:13 NKJV

To “stand still” does not mean doing nothing. It means refusing to be controlled by fear. It means turning our eyes away from the Red Sea and the approaching army and placing them upon the LORD.

Sometimes God allows difficulties to reveal what is still hidden within our hearts. He does not expose our fear to condemn us, but to train us to trust Him.

3. Walking into God’s purpose means trusting God and moving forward

“And the LORD said to Moses, ‘Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.’” — Exodus 14:15 NKJV

First, Moses told the people to stand still. Then God told them to move forward. These instructions do not contradict each other.

Standing still means that we stop being controlled by fear and human effort. Moving forward means that we obey God and take the next step by faith.

“The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
— Exodus 14:14 NKJV

Israel could not defeat Pharaoh’s army by their own strength. However, the LORD fought for them. The pillar of cloud moved behind them and stood between Israel and the Egyptians. God opened the way before them and protected them from behind.

When God divided the sea, the people still had to step into the path He had opened. God opened the way, but they had to follow. God provided salvation, but they had to respond with faith and obedience.

At the end of the chapter, Israel saw the great work of the LORD. They feared the LORD and believed Him. This is the true climax of Exodus 14. God did not only open the Red Sea; He began transforming slaves into a people who would know, fear, and trust Him.

Conclusion

Walking into God’s purpose does not mean that every road will be easy or understandable. Sometimes there will be a Red Sea before us and an army behind us. Yet the place that looks like a dead end may become the place where God reveals His glory.

God is not only changing our circumstances; He is transforming our hearts. He is removing the fear and slave mentality of the past and teaching us to live as His people.

Today, God is still saying to us: Do not be afraid—stand still and see His salvation. Do not return to the past—the LORD will fight for you. Do not remain in fear—trust God and move forward.

Reflection

1. When God’s way is different from what I expected, am I still willing to trust and obey Him?
2. When I face difficulties, do I desire to return to what is familiar, or do I believe that God can open a new way?

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me out of my past and leading me into the purpose You have prepared for me. When I do not understand Your way, help me to trust and obey You. When difficulties reveal fear within my heart, teach me to stand still and depend upon You.

Remove every slave mentality from my life. Help me not to return to the past, but to believe that You will fight for me and make a way where there seems to be no way. Give me faith to follow You and move forward.

May I know You more deeply, fear You, trust You, and fulfil Your purpose for my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
