引言
當我們讀出埃及記的十災，常常會以為十災只是神對埃及人的審判，是神為以色列人伸冤、懲罰法老的手段。然而，出埃及記第十章一開始，神親自向摩西說明祂施行這些神蹟的另一個重要目的。
神說，祂要摩西把祂在埃及所行的事，傳給自己的兒子和孫子，使世世代代的人都知道祂是耶和華。
所以，十災不單是給埃及人看的，也是給以色列人看的；不單是叫法老認識神的權能，也是叫神的百姓永遠記得：拯救他們的神是誰。
以色列人雖然住在埃及多年，聽過祖先所敬拜的神，但他們也需要親身看見，耶和華不是一位只存在於祖先故事中的神。祂是今日仍然掌權、仍然說話、仍然拯救，也仍然為自己的百姓爭戰的神。
到了第八災，蝗蟲來到埃及。之前的災難雖然已經帶來極大的破壞，但埃及仍然留下一些農作物，可以成為人民生活的倚靠。然而，蝗蟲把冰雹之後所剩下的農作物完全吃盡，埃及地再沒有留下青綠之物。
神一步一步挪去埃及人所倚靠的東西。
到了第九災，黑暗籠罩埃及三天。埃及人所敬拜的太陽神不能帶來光明；被視為具有神聖權威的法老，也不能使太陽再次出現。法老在人面前所代表的權柄，正在神的作為中被徹底拆毀。
然而，最可怕的不是埃及失去農作物，也不是埃及失去光明，而是法老經歷了這麼多次神的作為，心仍然沒有真正回轉。
他已經從不認識神，來到知道神的大能；他聽過神的話，也多次在災難中承認自己有罪。然而，每當事情發生，他便願意讓步；當事情過去，他又收回自己的承諾，繼續與神討價還價。
我們會不會也是這樣？
我們認識神、聽過神的話，也經歷過神的幫助；當問題臨到時，我們願意禱告、願意順服、願意把自己交給神。但當環境稍微好轉，我們又回到原來的生活，重新靠自己，甚至再次與神討價還價。
出埃及記第十章不只是法老的故事，也是神放在我們面前的一面鏡子。神不單要我們知道祂是神，更要我們打從心裡轉向祂。
過渡句
從蝗災到黑暗之災，我們看見神不斷顯明自己，也看見人心一次又一次抗拒神。今天，讓我們從這一章思想三個生命的提醒。
一、記住神的作為
「並要叫你將我向埃及人所做的事，和在他們中間所行的神蹟，傳於你兒子和你孫子的耳中，好叫你們知道我是耶和華。」
——出埃及記10:2
神施行十災，不只是要改變當時的環境，也是要建立以色列人的信仰記憶。
神要摩西把祂所行的事告訴兒子，再由兒子告訴孫子，使一代又一代的人都知道，帶領以色列人離開埃及的，不是摩西的能力，也不是法老突然改變心意，而是耶和華親自施行拯救。
信仰不能只停留在我們這一代。
我們今日所經歷的恩典、拯救、醫治、供應和帶領，都應當成為下一代認識神的見證。我們不只是告訴兒女應當相信神，也要告訴他們神如何在我們的生命中真實地工作。
我們可以告訴下一代：
當我們沒有道路時，神如何為我們開路；
當我們軟弱時，神如何扶持我們；
當我們犯錯時，神如何憐憫我們；
當我們不知道下一步怎樣走時，神如何一步一步帶領我們。
下一代不只是需要聽見一套信仰道理，他們更需要從我們的生命中看見：我們所相信的神是真實的。
神的作為若沒有被述說，人很快便會忘記；但當神的恩典不斷被記念和傳講，信心就能夠一代一代地延續下去。
今天我們要問自己：我有沒有把神在我生命中所做的事，告訴我的家人和下一代？
二、放下自己的倚靠
「蝗蟲上來，落在埃及的四境，甚是厲害；以前沒有這樣的，以後也必沒有。因為這蝗蟲遮滿地面，甚至地都黑暗了，又吃地上一切的菜蔬和冰雹所剩樹上的果子。埃及遍地，無論是樹木，是田間的菜蔬，連一點青的也沒有留下。」
——出埃及記10:14-15
冰雹已經毀壞埃及大部分的農作物，蝗蟲則把冰雹之後所剩下的一切完全吃盡。
在這之前，埃及人也許仍然認為，雖然遭遇災難，但至少還有一點剩餘，仍然有一些資源可以倚靠。然而，當蝗蟲來到，連最後剩下的農作物也被吃盡。
神讓埃及人看見，他們以為能夠掌握的土地、農業、經濟和生活保障，都不能真正保護他們。
有時候，神容許我們所倚靠的東西被搖動，不一定是因為神要毀滅我們，而是因為神要讓我們看見：那些東西從來不能代替祂。
我們可能倚靠自己的能力、經驗、金錢、人際關係、職位或計劃。這些東西本身未必是錯的，但當它們取代了神在我們心中的位置，就會成為我們生命中的偶像。
當一切順利時，我們很容易認為自己可以掌管人生；但當環境改變，我們才發現，原來自己所倚靠的並沒有想像中穩固。
神不是要我們甚麼都不做，而是要我們在所做的一切事上知道：真正供應我們、保護我們和托住我們的，是神自己。
真正的信心，不是當所有資源都充足時說「我相信神」，而是當我們所倚靠的東西被搖動時，仍然能夠說：「主啊，我真正的倚靠是祢。」
三、不要再與神討價還價
「法老就召摩西來，說：你們去事奉耶和華；只是你們的羊群牛群要留下；你們的婦人孩子可以和你們同去。摩西說：你總要把祭物和燔祭牲交給我們，使我們可以祭祀耶和華我們的神。我們的牲畜也要帶去，連一蹄也不留下。」
——出埃及記10:24-26
法老並不是完全拒絕以色列人離開，他開始提出不同的條件。
他曾經說，可以去，但不要走得太遠；後來又說，只讓男人去；到了黑暗之災，他願意讓婦人和孩子同行，卻要求他們把牛羊留下。
表面上，法老好像已經讓步；實際上，他仍然想控制以色列人。
若牛羊留在埃及，以色列人便沒有祭牲，也沒有生活所需的牲畜。他們即使暫時離開，仍然會因為財產留在埃及而回來。
法老願意給神一部分，卻不願意把一切交出來。
摩西卻清楚回答：「連一蹄也不留下。」
真正的順服，不是按照自己的條件來回應神，而是讓神成為生命完全的主。
我們也可能像法老一樣與神討價還價：
「主啊，我願意順服祢，但這一件事不要碰。」
「主啊，我願意服事祢，但不要影響我的安排。」
「主啊，我願意饒恕，但對方必須先道歉。」
「主啊，我願意信靠祢，但我要先看見結果。」
「主啊，我願意把生命交給祢，但我要保留自己最重視的部分。」
當事情發生時，我們急切尋求神；當事情過去，我們又重新抓回生命的主權。我們願意神幫助我們，卻不一定願意讓神管理我們。
這正是法老生命的問題。
他不是完全不知道神，也不是從來沒有承認自己的錯。他甚至曾經說：「我得罪耶和華你們的神，又得罪了你們。」可是，他的認罪只是為了叫災難停止，並不是因為他的心真正轉向神。
真正的回轉，不只是環境困難時向神求助，而是事情過去以後，仍然選擇順服神。
神今日要的，不只是我們口中說「我願意」，而是我們打從心裡承認：「主啊，祢是神，我不再保留，不再控制，也不再與祢討價還價。」
總結
出埃及記第十章讓我們看見，十災不只是神對埃及的審判，也是神對以色列人的啟示。
神要祂的百姓知道祂是耶和華，也要他們把神的作為傳給下一代。
蝗災使埃及失去最後剩下的農作物，黑暗之災使埃及人所敬拜的太陽神和法老的權威完全失去作用。神一步一步拆毀人錯誤的倚靠，使人看見，唯有耶和華是真神。
然而，法老雖然看見神蹟、聽見神的話，也多次承認自己的錯，他的心卻沒有真正回轉。他只想解除眼前的困難，卻不願意把生命的主權交給神。
今天，神也在問我們：
我們只是知道祂是神，還是真正讓祂成為我們的神？
我們是否只在困難中轉向祂，當問題過去，又重新靠自己？
我們是否願意把神的作為傳給下一代？
我們是否仍然保留生命中的某些部分，不願意完全交給神？
神一次又一次給人機會，不是因為祂沒有能力施行審判，而是因為祂盼望人的心真正回轉。
不要等到所有倚靠都被挪去，才承認神是主；也不要只在災難中尋求神，事情過去後又離開祂。
今天，讓我們真心轉向神，不再與祂討價還價，讓祂真正成為我們生命的主。
省察
我是否只在困難中尋求神，事情過去後又重新靠自己？
我的生命中，有甚麼是我仍然不願意完全交給神的？
我有沒有把神在我生命中的恩典和作為，傳給我的家人和下一代？
禱告
親愛的天父，感謝祢一次又一次向我們顯明祢自己，也給我們悔改和回轉的機會。求祢赦免我們常常只在困難中尋求祢，事情過去後又重新依靠自己。求祢幫助我們放下自己的倚靠，不再與祢討價還價，願意把生命的每一部分完全交給祢。也求祢使我們記念祢的作為，忠心地把祢的恩典傳給下一代，使我們和我們的家都知道祢是耶和華。奉主耶穌基督的名禱告，阿們。

Introduction
When we read about the Ten Plagues, we often think they were only God’s judgment upon Egypt and Pharaoh. However, at the beginning of Exodus 10, God reveals another important purpose behind these miraculous signs.
God told Moses to pass on everything He had done in Egypt to the next generation so that their children and grandchildren would know that He is the LORD.
The plagues were not only for the Egyptians to witness; they were also for the Israelites. God wanted His own people to remember forever that it was the Lord—not Moses, not circumstances—who delivered them.
After seven plagues, Egypt still had some remaining crops. But the plague of locusts destroyed everything that was left. Every remaining source of food and security disappeared. Then came the ninth plague. Thick darkness covered Egypt for three days. The sun god Ra, one of Egypt’s greatest gods, was powerless. Pharaoh, who was regarded as the son of the sun god, also lost his authority before the people.
Yet the greatest tragedy was not the loss of food or the darkness.
The greatest tragedy was Pharaoh’s heart.
He had seen God’s power. He had heard God’s word. He had even confessed his sin. But he never truly turned back to God.
Whenever trouble came, he was willing to surrender. Once the crisis passed, he hardened his heart again and continued bargaining with God.
How often are we the same?
We know God, we have experienced His grace, and we pray earnestly when difficulties come. Yet when life becomes comfortable again, we quietly return to relying on ourselves.
Exodus 10 is not only Pharaoh’s story—it is also a mirror for our own hearts.
God does not simply want us to know who He is. He desires us to truly turn our hearts back to Him.
- Remember What God Has Done
Exodus 10:2
God performed these mighty signs not only to rescue His people, but also to build a lasting testimony for future generations.
Faith is never meant to stop with us.
Our children should not only hear Bible stories; they should hear how God has worked in our own lives—how He provided when we lacked, guided when we were uncertain, strengthened us when we were weak, and remained faithful through every season.
A living testimony helps the next generation discover that God is not only the God of the Bible, but also the God who is still working today.
- Let Go of What You Depend On
Exodus 10:14–15
The locusts consumed everything that remained after the hailstorm. Egypt’s final source of security disappeared.
God was showing Egypt that their land, economy, wealth and resources could never truly save them.
Sometimes God allows the things we rely on to be shaken—not because He wants to destroy us, but because He wants to remind us that He alone is our true Provider.
We often trust our abilities, experience, finances, relationships or plans more than we realize.
True faith is not saying, “I trust God,” only when everything is going well.
True faith is still saying, “Lord, You are my only security,” even when everything else is being shaken.
- Stop Bargaining with God
Exodus 10:24–26
Pharaoh kept trying to negotiate.
He was willing to let Israel leave, but he wanted them to leave their livestock behind. He appeared to surrender, but he still wanted to remain in control.
Moses replied,
“Not a hoof shall be left behind.”
God does not ask for partial obedience.
He asks for complete surrender.
Sometimes we bargain with God as well.
“Lord, I will obey You—but not in this area.”
“Lord, I will trust You—but only after I see the outcome.”
“Lord, You can have most of my life—but not everything.”
Pharaoh’s greatest problem was not that he did not know God.
His greatest problem was that he refused to surrender completely.
Many people want God’s help without allowing God to become Lord of their lives.
Real repentance is not simply asking God to remove our problems.
Real repentance is allowing Him to rule our hearts.
Conclusion
Exodus 10 reminds us that God’s mighty works are not only meant to demonstrate His power but also to call people to repentance.
The locusts removed Egypt’s last security.
The darkness exposed the emptiness of Egypt’s greatest gods.
Yet Pharaoh’s heart remained unchanged.
Today God asks us the same questions.
Do we only seek Him when we are in trouble?
Are we still relying on ourselves?
Are there areas of our lives that we refuse to surrender?
God continues to give us opportunities to return to Him because He desires our hearts, not merely our outward obedience.
Today, may we stop bargaining with God, truly turn back to Him, and allow Him to become the Lord of every part of our lives.
Reflection
- Am I only seeking God when difficulties come?
- What am I still relying on instead of trusting God?
- Is there any area of my life that I have not fully surrendered to Him?
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for continually revealing Yourself to us and giving us opportunities to return to You. Forgive us for relying on ourselves instead of trusting You completely. Help us to let go of our own security and stop bargaining with You. Teach us to surrender every part of our lives into Your hands and to remember Your faithfulness so that we may pass it on to the next generation. May You truly be the Lord of our lives.
In Jesus’ name we pray.
