今天的經文呈現大衛晚年的畫面：身體衰弱、無力親政，也無力面對家庭中的問題。大衛敬畏神，但在家中的放任，使押沙龍與亞多尼雅在沒有界線的環境中成長，最終釀成危機。亞多尼雅趁機自立為王，使國家面臨分裂，但神藉拿單先知使大衛重新站在祂的心意裏，立所羅門為王，使國家免於內戰。

神提醒我們：領袖不是沒有軟弱，而是在軟弱中願意回到祂的旨意。以下三點帶領我們省察：

第一，未處理的軟弱會成為家庭與群體的危機（1:1–6）。
大衛對孩子的忽略，使家中埋下破口。今天我要反思：是否有我一直逃避、未面對的地方，正在慢慢影響家庭與神的託付？

第二，人的方法不能成就神的工作（1:7–10、20–21）。
亞多尼雅以人脈與安排自立為王，但神沒有揀選他。我要思想：在哪些事情上，我曾依靠自己的方法，而不是尋求神的心意？

第三，領袖願意回到神面前，神就重新確立方向（1:28–40）。
大衛在先知提醒後回轉，使國家回到神的旨意。今天神也邀請我在具體的地方轉回，讓祂恢復方向。

追求反思：
我生命中有哪些像大衛的鬆懈正在形成破口？
我是否像亞多尼雅一般依靠自己？
今天我願意在哪一個地方重新對齊神？

破除：
我拒絕逃避、拒絕倚靠自己的方法、拒絕認為事情會自然變好。

邀請真光：
我相信神的揀選比人的方法更可靠；我願意回轉；神的話語是家庭與服侍的安全。

禱告：
天父，我把生命中的忽略、放任與逃避帶到祢光中。求祢使我重新站在祢的旨意裏，使我的家與祢託付的群體在祢的話中得穩固。奉主耶穌基督的名，阿們。

列王紀上 1

大衛王年紀老邁，雖用被遮蓋，仍不覺暖。 ² 所以臣僕對他說：「不如為我主我王尋找一個處女，使她伺候王，奉養王，睡在王的懷中，好叫我主我王得暖。」 ³ 於是在以色列全境尋找美貌的童女，尋得書念的一個童女亞比煞，就帶到王那裡。 ⁴ 這童女極其美貌，她奉養王，伺候王，王卻沒有與她親近。

⁵ 那時，哈及的兒子亞多尼雅自尊，說：「我必做王。」就為自己預備車輛、馬兵，又派五十人在他前頭奔走。 ⁶ 他父親素來沒有使他憂悶，說：「你是做什麼呢？」他甚俊美，生在押沙龍之後。 ⁷ 亞多尼雅與洗魯雅的兒子約押和祭司亞比亞他商議，二人就順從他，幫助他。 ⁸ 但祭司撒督、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅、先知拿單、示每、利以並大衛的勇士都不順從亞多尼雅。 ⁹ 一日，亞多尼雅在隱羅結旁瑣希列磐石那裡宰了牛羊、肥犢，請他的諸弟兄，就是王的眾子，並所有做王臣僕的猶大人； ¹⁰ 唯獨先知拿單和比拿雅並勇士，與他的兄弟所羅門，他都沒有請。 ¹¹ 拿單對所羅門的母親拔示巴說：「哈及的兒子亞多尼雅做王了，你沒有聽見嗎？我們的主大衛卻不知道。 ¹² 現在我可以給你出個主意，好保全你和你兒子所羅門的性命。 ¹³ 你進去見大衛王，對他說：『我主我王啊，你不曾向婢女起誓說「你兒子所羅門必接續我做王，坐在我的位上」嗎？現在亞多尼雅怎麼做了王呢？』 ¹⁴ 你還與王說話的時候，我也隨後進去，證實你的話。」

¹⁵ 拔示巴進入內室見王，王甚老邁，書念的童女亞比煞正伺候王。 ¹⁶ 拔示巴向王屈身下拜。王說：「你要什麼？」 ¹⁷ 她說：「我主啊，你曾向婢女指著耶和華你的神起誓說：『你兒子所羅門必接續我做王，坐在我的位上。』 ¹⁸ 現在亞多尼雅做王了，我主我王卻不知道。 ¹⁹ 他宰了許多牛羊、肥犢，請了王的眾子和祭司亞比亞他並元帥約押，唯獨王的僕人所羅門他沒有請。 ²⁰ 我主我王啊，以色列眾人的眼目都仰望你，等你曉諭他們，在我主我王之後誰坐你的位。 ²¹ 若不然，到我主我王與列祖同睡以後，我和我兒子所羅門必算為罪人了。」

²² 拔示巴還與王說話的時候，先知拿單也進來了。 ²³ 有人奏告王說：「先知拿單來了。」拿單進到王前，臉伏於地。 ²⁴ 拿單說：「我主我王果然應許亞多尼雅說『你必接續我做王，坐在我的位上』嗎？ ²⁵ 他今日下去，宰了許多牛羊、肥犢，請了王的眾子和軍長並祭司亞比亞他。他們正在亞多尼雅面前吃喝，說：『願亞多尼雅王萬歲！』 ²⁶ 唯獨我，就是你的僕人，和祭司撒督、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，並王的僕人所羅門，他都沒有請。 ²⁷ 這事果然出乎我主我王嗎？王卻沒有告訴僕人們，在我主我王之後誰坐你的位。」

²⁸ 大衛王吩咐說：「叫拔示巴來。」拔示巴就進來，站在王面前。 ²⁹ 王起誓說：「我指著救我性命脫離一切苦難，永生的耶和華起誓： ³⁰ 我既然指著耶和華以色列的神向你起誓說『你兒子所羅門必接續我做王，坐在我的位上』，我今日就必照這話而行。」 ³¹ 於是，拔示巴臉伏於地，向王下拜，說：「願我主大衛王萬歲！」

³² 大衛王又吩咐說：「將祭司撒督、先知拿單、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅召來。」他們就都來到王面前。 ³³ 王對他們說：「要帶領你們主的僕人，使我兒子所羅門騎我的騾子，送他下到基訓。 ³⁴ 在那裡，祭司撒督和先知拿單要膏他做以色列的王。你們也要吹角，說：『願所羅門王萬歲！』 ³⁵ 然後要跟隨他上來，使他坐在我的位上，接續我做王。我已立他做以色列和猶大的君。」 ³⁶ 耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅對王說：「阿們！願耶和華我主我王的神也這樣命定。 ³⁷ 耶和華怎樣與我主我王同在，願他照樣與所羅門同在，使他的國位比我主大衛王的國位更大。」

³⁸ 於是，祭司撒督、先知拿單、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅和基利提人、比利提人都下去，使所羅門騎大衛王的騾子，將他送到基訓。 ³⁹ 祭司撒督就從帳幕中取了盛膏油的角來，用膏膏所羅門。人就吹角，眾民都說：「願所羅門王萬歲！」 ⁴⁰ 眾民跟隨他上來，且吹笛，大大歡呼，聲音震地。

⁴¹ 亞多尼雅和所請的眾客筵宴方畢，聽見這聲音。約押聽見角聲就說：「城中為何有這響聲呢？」 ⁴² 他正說話的時候，祭司亞比亞他的兒子約拿單來了。亞多尼雅對他說：「進來吧！你是個忠義的人，必是報好信息。」 ⁴³ 約拿單對亞多尼雅說：「我們的主大衛王誠然立所羅門為王了！ ⁴⁴ 王差遣祭司撒督、先知拿單、耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅和基利提人、比利提人都去，使所羅門騎王的騾子。 ⁴⁵ 祭司撒督和先知拿單在基訓已經膏他做王。眾人都從那裡歡呼著上來，聲音使城震動，這就是你們所聽見的聲音。 ⁴⁶ 並且，所羅門登了國位。 ⁴⁷ 王的臣僕也來為我們的主大衛王祝福，說：『願王的神使所羅門的名比王的名更尊榮，使他的國位比王的國位更大。』王就在床上屈身下拜。 ⁴⁸ 王又說：『耶和華以色列的神是應當稱頌的！因他賜我一人今日坐在我的位上，我也親眼看見了。』」

⁴⁹ 亞多尼雅的眾客聽見這話就都驚懼，起來四散。 ⁵⁰ 亞多尼雅懼怕所羅門，就起來，去抓住祭壇的角。 ⁵¹ 有人告訴所羅門說：「亞多尼雅懼怕所羅門王，現在抓住祭壇的角，說：『願所羅門王今日向我起誓，必不用刀殺僕人。』」 ⁵² 所羅門說：「他若做忠義的人，連一根頭髮也不至落在地上；他若行惡，必要死亡。」 ⁵³ 於是所羅門王差遣人，使亞多尼雅從壇上下來，他就來，向所羅門王下拜。所羅門對他說：「你回家去吧！」

1 Kings 1

1 Now King David was old, advanced in years; and they put covers on him, but he could not get warm. ² Therefore his servants said to him, “Let a young woman, a virgin, be sought for our lord the king, and let her stand before the king, and let her care for him; and let her lie in your bosom, that our lord the king may be warm.” ³ So they sought for a lovely young woman throughout all the territory of Israel, and found Abishag the Shunammite, and brought her to the king. ⁴ The young woman was very lovely; and she cared for the king, and served him; but the king did not know her.

⁵ Then Adonijah the son of Haggith exalted himself, saying, “I will be king”; and he prepared for himself chariots and horsemen, and fifty men to run before him. ⁶ (And his father had not rebuked him at any time by saying, “Why have you done so?” He was also very good-looking. His mother had borne him after Absalom.) ⁷ Then he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah and with Abiathar the priest, and they followed and helped Adonijah. ⁸ But Zadok the priest, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei, Rei, and the mighty men who belonged to David were not with Adonijah.

⁹ And Adonijah sacrificed sheep and oxen and fattened cattle by the stone of Zoheleth, which is by En Rogel; he also invited all his brothers, the king’s sons, and all the men of Judah, the king’s servants. ¹⁰ But he did not invite Nathan the prophet, Benaiah, the mighty men, or Solomon his brother.

¹¹ So Nathan spoke to Bathsheba the mother of Solomon, saying, “Have you not heard that Adonijah the son of Haggith has become king, and David our lord does not know it? ¹² Come, please, let me now give you advice, that you may save your own life and the life of your son Solomon. ¹³ Go immediately to King David and say to him, ‘Did you not, my lord, O king, swear to your maidservant, saying, “Assuredly your son Solomon shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne”? Why then has Adonijah become king?’ ¹⁴ Then, while you are still talking there with the king, I also will come in after you and confirm your words.”

¹⁵ So Bathsheba went into the chamber to the king. (Now the king was very old, and Abishag the Shunammite was serving the king.) ¹⁶ And Bathsheba bowed and did homage to the king. Then the king said, “What is your wish?”

¹⁷ Then she said to him, “My lord, you swore by the Lord your God to your maidservant, saying, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne.’ ¹⁸ So now, look! Adonijah has become king; and now, my lord the king, you do not know about it. ¹⁹ He has sacrificed oxen and fattened cattle and sheep in abundance, and has invited all the sons of the king, Abiathar the priest, and Joab the commander of the army; but Solomon your servant he has not invited. ²⁰ And as for you, my lord, O king, the eyes of all Israel are on you, that you should tell them who will sit on the throne of my lord the king after him. ²¹ Otherwise it will happen, when my lord the king rests with his fathers, that I and my son Solomon will be counted as offenders.”

²² And just then, while she was still talking with the king, Nathan the prophet also came in. ²³ So they told the king, saying, “Here is Nathan the prophet.” And when he came in before the king, he bowed down before the king with his face to the ground. ²⁴ And Nathan said, “My lord, O king, have you said, ‘Adonijah shall reign after me, and he shall sit on my throne’? ²⁵ For he has gone down today, and has sacrificed oxen and fattened cattle and sheep in abundance, and has invited all the king’s sons, and the commanders of the army, and Abiathar the priest; and look! They are eating and drinking before him; and they say, ‘Long live King Adonijah!’ ²⁶ But he has not invited me—me your servant—nor Zadok the priest, nor Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, nor your servant Solomon. ²⁷ Has this thing been done by my lord the king, and you have not told your servant who should sit on the throne of my lord the king after him?”

²⁸ Then King David answered and said, “Call Bathsheba to me.” So she came into the king’s presence and stood before the king. ²⁹ And the king took an oath and said, “As the Lord lives, who has redeemed my life from every distress, ³⁰ just as I swore to you by the Lord God of Israel, saying, ‘Assuredly Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place,’ so I certainly will do this day.”

³¹ Then Bathsheba bowed with her face to the earth, and paid homage to the king, and said, “Let my lord King David live forever!”

³² And King David said, “Call to me Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada.” So they came before the king. ³³ The king also said to them, “Take with you the servants of your lord, and have Solomon my son ride on my own mule, and take him down to Gihon. ³⁴ There let Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anoint him king over Israel; and blow the horn, and say, ‘Long live King Solomon!’ ³⁵ Then you shall come up after him, and he shall come and sit on my throne, and he shall be king in my place. For I have appointed him to be ruler over Israel and Judah.”

³⁶ Benaiah the son of Jehoiada answered the king and said, “Amen! May the Lord God of my lord the king say so too. ³⁷ As the Lord has been with my lord the king, even so may He be with Solomon, and make his throne greater than the throne of my lord King David.”

³⁸ So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the Cherethites, and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David’s mule, and took him to Gihon. ³⁹ Then Zadok the priest took a horn of oil from the tabernacle and anointed Solomon. And they blew the horn, and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!” ⁴⁰ And all the people went up after him; and the people played the flutes and rejoiced with great joy, so that the earth seemed to split with their sound.

⁴¹ Now Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they finished eating. And when Joab heard the sound of the horn, he said, “Why is the city in such a noisy uproar?” ⁴² While he was still speaking, there came Jonathan, the son of Abiathar the priest. And Adonijah said to him, “Come in, for you are a prominent man, and bring good news.”

⁴³ Then Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, “No! Our lord King David has made Solomon king. ⁴⁴ The king has sent with him Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the Cherethites, and the Pelethites; and they have made him ride on the king’s mule. ⁴⁵ So Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet have anointed him king at Gihon; and they have gone up from there rejoicing, so that the city is in an uproar. This is the noise that you have heard. ⁴⁶ Also Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom. ⁴⁷ And moreover the king’s servants have gone to bless our lord King David, saying, ‘May God make the name of Solomon better than your name, and may He make his throne greater than your throne.’ Then the king bowed himself on the bed. ⁴⁸ Also the king said thus, ‘Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who has given one to sit on my throne this day, while my eyes see it!’ ”

⁴⁹ So all the guests who were with Adonijah were afraid, and arose, and each one went his way.

⁵⁰ Now Adonijah was afraid of Solomon; so he arose, and went and took hold of the horns of the altar. ⁵¹ And it was told Solomon, saying, “Indeed Adonijah is afraid of King Solomon; for look, he has taken hold of the horns of the altar, saying, ‘Let King Solomon swear to me today that he will not put his servant to death with the sword.’ ”

⁵² Then Solomon said, “If he proves himself a worthy man, not one hair of him shall fall to the earth; but if wickedness is found in him, he shall die.” ⁵³ So King Solomon sent them to bring him down from the altar. And he came and fell down before King Solomon; and Solomon said to him, “Go to your house.”
