As we enter September, God wants to enter His rest. September is also the beginning of Spring, it’s a shift of the season, and in October, we are welcoming year 5785 in Jewish calendar, it also represents a year of grace. Therefore we must learn to rest in God. God is dependable and faithful, we can fully rely on Him as we enter into rest.

Hebrews 10:19-23

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.”

The blood of Jesus redeems us and opens a new and living way for us. After Adam and Eve sinned, they also entered death. So there’s a time limit to our life, from the day we are born to the day we die. When Jesus died for us on the cross, His blood redeems us from this world to the eternity. The moment when we believe in Jesus Christ, we enter eternal life, it doesn’t mean that we can only receive eternal life after we die. So what does eternal life mean?

The blood of Jesus Christ leads us to enter eternal life, when we are baptised, we go home with the Father, and we live in the eternity realm with the Father. Through Jesus, we enter this eternity, there is no limit in time, in the House of God. What’s on the House of God? Abundance, prosperity, and a living life. How do we live out our new life? Do we still feel anxious about the things we need to do or cannot do? What standard do we live our life by? Do we still use our willpower to do everything we do in life? Or can we live out a testimony for the Father?

The earthly standards will press us down and eventually we will break, a lot of times our faith is like this, we thought we can receive rewards after we die so we rely on our own strength to do everything and to try to be a good Christian. Jesus has opened a new and living way for us, we are entering the eternal realm, even though we walk on the earth, we don’t see that we are lacking, but we see we are abundant. Our perspective and attitude will be different, we will no longer worry and anxious, because we know our God will provide.

We will also not worry about how people see us or respond to us. When we don’t get the praises and appreciation we deserve, we will not feel discouraged because we know God sees us and our reward is in heaven. This is how we walk the new and living way, to enter the eternity realm. When we enter rest in God, we can give Him our burden and yoke, we can rejoice always, give thanks for everything, and this is the Will of God for us.
