Psalm 119:89-96 Live in the Word of God 詩篇 119:89-96以神的話過活

V89-91 Believe Everything is in God’s Hands 相信一切都在神的手中

“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness endures to all generations; You established the earth, and it abides. They continue this day according to Your ordinances, for all are Your servants.”

「耶和華啊，你的話安定在天，直到永遠。你的誠實存到萬代，你堅定了地，地就長存。 天地照你的安排存到今日，萬物都是你的僕役。」

Do we believe that God means everything He said? We may not remember everything we said, we may not even follow through what we said, but God is not like this, He will remember all His Words and He will always keep His promises. His Word endures forever and we can feel secure in the Word of God. Why can’t we satisfy with our current lives? Because we don’t believe in God’s Word, He will not lie to us and He will not give us any excuse. He will follow through His Word, He is faithful and honest.

What do we rely on? From where do we receive peace? From our own strength? From other people? From the things of this world? Only the Lord almighty can give us true peace, the Heaven and earth all listen to God, and we are His children, so why do we still enslave ourselves in the things of this world? He created us to manage the earth, not to be its slaves. He is the beginning and the end, and we can live in His Word.

V92-95 Only By the Word of God 唯有神的話語

“Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have given me life. I am Yours, save me; for I have sought Your precepts. The wicked wait for me to destroy me, but I will consider Your testimonies.”

「我若不是喜愛你的律法，早就在苦難中滅絕了。我永不忘記你的訓詞，因你用這訓詞將我救活了。我是屬你的，求你救我，因我尋求了你的訓詞。惡人等待我，要滅絕我，我卻要揣摩你的法度。」

The Word of God is the light of our feet and the lamp in our path, our path ahead may be dark, but God will shine a way. When we trust in His Word, we will live, we can find a way out, because He will surly save us. It’s like how when we are drowning in the beach or in the pool, when a lifeguard comes, we can’t do anything but to trust in the lifeguard to save us. It’s the same with the Word of God, it’s our lifesaver, and we must hold onto it and trust in it, nothing else. Then we will not drown in the ocean of this world. Everything is in God’s Hands, and only by the Word of God we can be saved.

V96 Take It Easy, Let God Take Over 放輕鬆讓位給神

“I have seen the consummation of all perfection, but Your commandment is exceedingly broad.”

「我看萬事盡都有限，唯有你的命令極其寬廣。」

We want to solve our problems, we want to change out environment, but God tells us to take it easy. When we cannot take it easy, when we continue to be anxious and fearful, then we can never see what God is doing for us. We must look back at what God has done for us in the past, all the wonders and miracles He has done in our lives.
