Luke 24:13-17

When we are called to walk the Way of God, what distracts us and takes us away from this Way? When Jesus appeared in front of the disciples after resurrection, how did the disciples respond? Jesus was in front of them, but they were distracted and didn’t recognise Jesus. The things we are worrying about on this world may be sicknesses, career, challenges, people’s opinions of us… they become so powerful in our life that they start to take authority over us and we don’t see Jesus.

The disciples did not see Jesus would resurrect. Because Jesus was dead, even though there were many prophesy, they chose to believe in what they wanted to believe. When we are distracted by the things of the world, we will fail to see Jesus, Who is bigger and better in everything we care about in this world. Let us turn back and turn to Him.
