Proverbs 20 箴言20

V1-3 We Must Make A Choice 我們要做選擇

V1 “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.” Solomon told us here what is going to happen after a quarrel. We must know our limit and don’t let ourselves fall into temptation. V2 “The wrath of a king is like the roaring of a lion; whoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life.” We know what to do will provoke anger to our authority, when we do what our authority ask us to do, then we can avoid quarrel, and avoid making them angry.

V1「酒能使人褻慢，濃酒使人喧嚷，凡因酒錯誤的，就無智慧。」所羅門在這裡告訴我們爭吵後會發生什麼事。我們必須知道自己的極限，不要讓自己陷入試探誘惑。V2「王的威嚇如同獅子吼叫，惹動他怒的是自害己命。」我們知道做什麼會激怒我們的權柄，當我們按照權柄的要求去做時，我們可以避免爭吵，避免讓他們生氣。

V3 “It is honorable for a man to stop striving, since any fool can start a quarrel.” We have a choice, we don’t have to always fight for right and wrong, because when we do, we will create quarrel. We are not God, we will never be fully righteous. What it is that we must do? Use God’s perspective to see everything, what does God see? How God is looking at all the things happening around us? God is merciful, but when we don’t see God’s mercy, then we can never differentiate right and wrong. We should be an intercessor, pray for those who are in distress and who are hurt. Have mercy for the people who are suffering.

V3「遠離紛爭是人的尊榮，愚妄人都愛爭鬧。」我們有選擇，不必總是為是非而鬥爭，因為一旦這樣做，我們就會製造爭吵。我們不是神，我們永遠不會完全公義。我們必須做什麼？用神的角度看事情，神看到了什麼？神如何看待周遭發生的一切事？神是憐憫的，但當我們看不見神的憐憫時，我們就永遠無法分辨是非。我們應該成為代禱者，為那些處於困境和受傷的人祈禱。憐憫那些正在受苦受難的人們。

V4-21 To Be Righteous In Our Action 在行為上歸正

V5 “Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.” Humble ourselves and let God lead us, let our gift be used in the right path. Jesus is the light of our path and lamp to our feet. He is the truth, the way, and the life, and only belt relying on Jesus, we can show our gifts in the path God gave to us. It’s easy for us to say how good we are, but when we face problems, then our weaknesses will be revealed.

V5「人心懷藏謀略好像深水，唯明哲人才能汲引出來。」我們要謙卑自己，讓神引導我們，讓我們的恩賜用在正確的道路上。耶穌是我們路上的光，腳前的燈。祂是真理、道路和生命，只有依靠耶穌，我們才能在神賜給我們的道路上展現我們的恩賜。我們很容易說自己有多好，但當我們遇到問題時，我們的弱點就會暴露出來。

V7 “The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.” How can we bless our children? Leave them with lots of inheritance? God told us, when we act righteously, then our children will be blessed. God will see if we are righteous, we cannot lie to God, everything we do is in God’s eyes, and whatever is in our heart will be reflected in our actions, and determine how righteous we are. We want to do a lot, but do we really rely on God? Or are we easily offended?

V7「行為純正的義人，他的子孫是有福的！」我們可以怎樣祝福我們的孩子？給他們留下很多遺產？神告訴我們，當我們行事公義、行為純正時，我們的孩子就會蒙福。神會看我們是否公義，我們不能對神說謊，我們所做的一切都在神的眼中，我們心裡的想法都會反映在我們的行動上，決定我們是否公義、是否純正。我們想做很多事，但我們真的依靠神嗎？或者我們很容易被冒犯？

V9 “Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? “ Do we know our limit? Do we fully rely on God and let God take over our lives instead of our own human will? God’s standard is different to our standard, even if we think we do a lot, when we don’t walk in God’s way, everything we do may be in vain. We must stay in the portion God gave to us, He chose us, partnerships with us, everything we do is from God, He gives us strength, He gives us opportunities, He gives us resources, we must give thanks for everything that comes to us.

V9「誰能說：我潔淨了我的心，我脫淨了我的罪？」我們知道自己的極限嗎？我們是否完全依靠神，讓神代替我們人的意志來掌管我們的生活？神的標準與我們的標準不同，即使我們認為自己做了很多，但當我們不按照神的方式行走時，我們所做的一切都可能是徒勞的。我們一定要持守在神給我們的位份上，祂選擇了我們，與我們同工，我們所做的一切都是出於神，祂給我們力量，祂給我們機會，祂給我們資源，我們要為一切臨到我們的事感恩。

V10 “Diverse weights and diverse measures, they are both alike, an abomination to the Lord.” God knows how much we can do, He appoints authority to help us to do what God wants us to do. What is our attitude towards the work in our hands? God knows we can do more, sometimes He pushes our limit, but we become upset; other times He wants us to focus, but we want to do more, then we become offended.

V10「兩樣的法碼，兩樣的升斗，都為耶和華所憎惡。」神知道我們能做多少，祂設立權柄來幫助我們做神要我們做的事。我們對待手中的工作是什麼態度？神知道我們可以做得更多，有時祂會挑戰我們的極限，但我們會變得沮喪；有時祂希望我們集中注意力，但我們想做更多，然後我們就會感到被冒犯。

V11 “Even a child is known by his deeds,
Whether what he does is pure and right.” Let us have attentive ears, hear what God really wants to say to us, not to be easily offended, and trust in God’s creations. We cannot boast about anything but God in our lives. Without Him we cannot have peace. V20 “Whoever curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in deep darkness.” We are not the judge, we should not judge others, especially our parents, our authority, we are full of the fruits of the knowledge of good and evil, we curses our authority, and we will be separated from God.

V11「孩童的動作是清潔，是正直，都顯明他的本性。」讓我們有願意聽的耳朵，聽聽神真正想對我們說的話，不要輕易被冒犯，並相信神的創造。除了我們生命中的神之外，我們不能誇耀任何東西。沒有祂，我們就無法得著真平安。V20「咒罵父母的，他的燈必滅，變為漆黑的黑暗。」我們不是審判者，我們不該評斷別人，尤其是我們的父母、我們的權柄，當我們充滿了分別善惡樹的果子，我們咒罵我們的權柄，我們就會與神隔絕。

V22-30 To Align with God 與神對齊

V24 “A man’s steps are of the Lord;
How then can a man understand his own way?” Only when we know God’s Will then we can really live on Earth as it is in Heaven. The world tells us to repay evil with evil, but is this really God’s Will? It’s not our position to decide who is right and who is wrong, but to wait upon God, He will save us. What does God say to us? We have lots of plans, we want to do a lot of things, but what does God say in the decisions we make? Are we willing to choose God’s way? When we spend time to align with God, to listen to God’s Word, then we can ensure our steps are on God’s way.

V24「人的腳步為耶和華所定，人豈能明白自己的路呢？ 」只有當我們知道神的旨意時，我們才能真正活出在地如在天的生命。世界告訴我們以惡報惡，但這真的是神的旨意嗎？誰對誰錯不是我們的立場，而是要等候神，祂會拯救我們。神對我們說什麼？我們有很多計劃，我們想做很多事情，但是神在我們所做的決定中說了什麼？我們願意選擇神的道路嗎？當我們花時間與神對齊，聆聽神的話語時，我們就能確保我們的腳步走在神的路上。

V27 “The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart.” God is love, He wants to dwell within us, we must clean our heart, let our lives be God’s dwelling place. Stop living in darkness, stop living in a cave, God wants to come and light up our lives. Let us follow God wholeheartedly, have faith, and stop worrying. God has already rule and reign, we don’t need to be afraid.

V27「人的靈是耶和華的燈，鑒察人的心腹。」神是愛，祂要住在我們裡面，我們必須潔淨我們的心，讓我們的生命成為神的居所。別再活在黑暗中，別再住在洞穴裡，神要來照亮我們的生活。讓我們全心跟隨神，有信心，不再憂慮。神已經掌權掌權，我們不需要害怕。
