We obey the law because we love God, even Jesus said He came not to reject the law but to complete it. Do we know the law is to protect us and to save us? The commandment of the Sabbath Day is to help us to rest and to experience the goodness of God. But unfortunately, observing the Sabbath Day is the hardest commandment for us to keep. We thought it’s better to work than to rest, but we are actually rejecting God’s Will.
Every commandment is important, Satan is lying to us, to stop us resting, and to make us staying in the bond age. For thousands of years, the Israelites observed the Sabbath Day and they experienced the blessings and protection from God. From Moses’ time, the Israelites experienced this blessing and protection when they were in the wilderness. In busy time, Moses wrote the Bible, outside of all the time he had to deal with big and small things among the Israelites. He received the blessings of observing the Sabbath.
We cannot stop, but God is teaching us to test in Him. He is adjusting our attitude towards work, and restoring us back to how He created us to be. In His creation, He created the Sabbath Day, but the people ignored it, so through Moses, God put down observing the Sabbath Day into the Ten Commandments. Let us keep all Ten Commandments to experience His blessings and protection!
