Section One V1-9 God Always Looks After Us

Have we ever thought about what was there to guide the people before Moses complied the Torah, the Word of God? The people did not know God, they didn’t know who God really was, therefore God gave people His Word to guide them. We need the Word of God, everyday we must read and study the Bible. Our church should be built upon the Word of God, let God help to be strengthened in His Word.

God wants to make a covenant with us not to take any benefit from us, but to protect us. When God called the Israelites out of Egypt, they need to have faith in God. There must be willing to eat the unleavened bread, to kill the lamp and spread its blood, and to persevere until the day finally came. Are we willing to leave the land we are familiar with, and go to the land we are unfamiliar? Not only just one person, but also the whole household. The Israelites left the place they lived for 400 years and stay in the wilderness for 40 years. 

They didn’t understand anything at the beginning, they just knew to follow. God has been providing for them and looking after them, even when they didn’t realise it. God is doing the same for us, He is making a covenant with us today, because He wants to save us.

Section Two V10-17 God Will Make A Covenant With Us Today

God wants us and everyone around us to make this covenant, so we can all receive the blessings from Him. God wants us to be His people, and He wants to be our God. He is calling us and letting us know Who He is! He is our Protector and our Covering, we belong to Him and He will watch over us. We need to know our identity, our identity is very important because it’s not gained because of any of our good deeds but because of God’s love for us. Not only for us but also for our next generations.

God wants us to set ourselves apart, anything that stops us coming to God, we must get rid of. He is love and He wants us to be loved.

Section Three V18-29 God Will Remember His Covenant

Let God have mercy on us that we come to this land to bring blessings not curses. God has already put before us life and death, He wants our children and future generations to be blessed, but do we want this blessing? God has already told us everything but we must listen! Let God help us to listen and obey His teaching, so we can also be the example of the nations.

申命记 29 – 在应许之地神给人立约

在摩西的年代之前，人靠着神的造访跟神建立关系。如今的我们要在神的话语里与神连接，不是像文士或法利赛人那样律法主义，而是唯有靠着圣灵我们才能明白圣经的奥秘。我们要有渴慕的心，天天查考圣经，扎根在神的话语里，才不会因为别人的话随风飘摇。

本章的经文讲到神跟人重新立约，因为这些跟从的百姓并不明白他们的父母辈与神初次立约的状况，正如我们在读圣经时感觉只是读前人的故事一样。神如何与人立约?

一、v.1-9 神是一直看顾我们的

V1-3 神与人立约不是要拿我们任何好处，反而是告诉我们他是一直看顾我们的。他做的一切事情我们其实“都看见了”。“大试验”是在考验百姓是否愿意听从摩西的吩咐离开为奴为仆之地 – 当时的摩西一次又一次说要带大家离开埃及，却一次又一次被拦阻。当我们领袖所说的话一次又一次没有实现时，我们还愿意谦卑顺服、带着一家大小离开自己的舒适圈吗？

V4-5 我们在跟从的过程中，或许亲眼看到神迹奇事，但心里不明白。神不要我们去分辨善恶，而是要我们单纯地去跟。当我们愿意跟从神，我们的衣服就没有穿破，鞋子也没有穿坏。

V6 神不要我们用自己的方法来制作食物，而是每早晨出去捡取神赐的吗哪。我们每天的晨祷就是领取神新鲜的吗哪。

V7-9 神不需要我们靠自己去争取什么，因为是他一直都看顾这我们。他跟我们所立的约让我们能“在一切所行的事上亨通”。

二、v.10-17 神今天要跟我们立约

V10-12 神要与我们和我们周围所有的人立约，因为这些人和我们都要一起进入应许之地。

V13 神要我们所有人出来，让我们知道，神要我们在他的保护之下，他成为我们的遮盖，因为我们是属于他的，在任何景况下我们都不用担心。我们本来不是神的子民，是因着神的拣选，我们才有了如今的身份，这不是我们努力的结果，而是神的恩典。

V14-15 这里约并非单单跟要进入应许之地的以色列百姓所立，也是与今天的我们立的，我们都要进入神所赐我们的应许之地。

V16-17 神要我们分别为圣，不要去随从这个世界所看重的财富、权力等虚浮之物。他也不要我们随从自己的情欲，因为我们里面充满了批评论断、苦毒、骄傲。

三、v.18-29 神必记念他的约

V18-19 如今的“恩典神学”就是持这样的观点，轻忽自己犯的罪，只看重神的恩典、良善，却看不到神的公义。

V20-23 我们要在生命树下谦卑顺服神的话，不要任意妄为。若冥顽不灵，神“必不饶恕”。神已经将生死祸福都陈明在我们面前了，所以我们要谨守遵行他的教导。

V24-28 为了人的缘故，地受咒诅。求神怜悯我们，当我们来到新西兰这片土地时是带着神的祝福而不是咒诅的。

V29 神与我们立约，让我们和我们的子孙一生亨通。我们是否愿意在他所显明的话上下功夫、单纯跟随，还是浪费时间去考究隐秘的事？
