God gave us freedom when He created us. In the Garden of Eden, He created the Tree of Life on one side and the Tree of Knowles of Good and Evil on another. He let us make our own decision, we can choose the Tree of Life, or we can choose the Tree or Knowledge of Good and Evil. We can choose to live in fear and bitterness, and we cal also choose to live in love and peace.

In the Book of Deuteronomy, Moses laid out life and death before the Israelites. They could choose which path they wanted to walk on, the path of blessings or curses. Jesus also came to give us a choice, to repent and follow Him or to continue our own way.

In II Peter, Peter wrote to the people, who did not know how to continue following Jesus. Peter told the people that God was using His define power to give us answers to our problems and ways to interact with Him. Peter told the church to have the faith and know that God has already given His define nature to us. Together we share His nature.

Our Life Grows and We Can Walk Out of Wilderness

“Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” (II Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬) Peter was telling the church that they could walk out from all darknesses and depression. Our lives can grow, through pastoring.

Love and Trust to be Fruitful

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.” (II Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬)

God’s intention for is good, but do we believe in this? He does not want to bind us but to set us free. We must rise up to pastor. There will be challenges, there will be difficulties but God will take us along the way and gradually we can truely have the agape love.

Through pastoring and shepherding, we will increase our capacity. When we don’t know how to keep going, we must know that God is with us, do not be afraid. God has also given us Spiritual covering, people who have been pastoring and shepherding us, we are not alone.

Apostle Peter shared the Promise from God, the identity as the children of God that I have Jesus has taken back for us from the world. God created us to interact with Him, but a lot of times, people only wants to chase after what we think we want. But we must go back to the source of Life.

Jesus wants us to disciple the nations, God will help us so we don’t have to wait until we are ready, but to go out right away. We can never be good enough because we are all sinners, and we will all have problems in our lives. We must connect with Jesus.
