The words Moses spoke to the Israelites were not out of control but out of love. They were the words of teaching and disciplines, which helped the Israelites to enter the Promised Land. The Israelites might be wondering, why Moses did not tell them the strategies and ways to enter the Promised Land and take over the land, instead, he had been giving them laws and commandments to follow. God wanted the Israelites live their lives right before receiving His blessings in the Promised Land. Today, God is also helping us, teaching us everyday to live our lives right, then we will be able to inherit the Promised Land.
Do we believe in the words and teaching shared in the Morning Devotion? Do we have love and trust for God? Deuteronomy helps us to live out the love and trust for God, we must listen, take it into our hearts, and live it out. Every day God is speaking to us freshly, and the Word of God can lead us to live today, eventually enter the Promised Land. God treasures His relationship with us, He created the Heaven and Earth, the Garden of Eden, all living things, then He created people. Because He want us to have the perfect place to live, He loves us, and He treasures His relationship with us.
Section One V1-8 To Treasure the Relationship in the Group
We must listen and follow the principles of the Kingdom of God, do not let our bad behaviour become yeast in the group, and allow the group to go away from God and His teaching. When God gave us a direction, anything that stops us going forward or anyone that are not willing to cooperate, then God will call them the children of illegitimate birth. When we are with people, who refuse the teaching of God, we must be mindful, then they decide to cut the relationship with God, we should set ourselves apart and do not be affect by them. God does not tell us not to love, but love does not mean that we need to agree with what they do, if there is anything displeases God, we must cut it off and do not think we can handle it by ourselves.
Also, we should not be the ones, leading people away from God and stopping people from experiencing God. When God tells us to move forward, then we should not be afraid. God loves us, He will lead us, He will call us, and we do not need to be afraid of what is ahead of us. God will take care of us and our children when we decide to follow Him wholeheartedly.
Section Two V9-1 To Treasure the Relationship in the Land of Dwelling
When the slaves ran away from their masters and come to us, then we should give them protection. Why would people come to us and our land of dwelling? Because God is with us, therefore we must protect those who come to us for help. People leave the world of slavery and want to receive the freedom of God, how do we treat them and how do lead them to enter the Promised Land? We are all leaders in the army of God, so we should release the freedom of the Kingdom of God to those following us, do not make them our slaves.
Treasure every sheep God has led to us, help them, lead them to God, do not use them or take advantage of them. When we come to the family of God, what is our intention? Do we want to gain anything from our brothers and sisters? Or can we really love and help our brothers and sisters wholeheartedly? If we help others not for our own benefit but for the benefit of others, then God will bless us and protect us.
Section Three V21-25 To Treasure the Relationship in Benefits
God does not need us to make vows, but when we do, we must be responsible in our vows, do not delay. Whatever we promised in our mouth, we should keep it and follow it. Our words have power, do not take our words lightly, there will be no excuses and we must be accountable for the words spoken. God created the Heaven and Earth with His Words, do we believe that words have power? Let the Word of God become the light of our path and the lamp of our feet.
申命记 23 – 在应许之地的关系

老摩西的教导不是规条或操控，而是一份爱。那时以色列人还没有过约旦河，一无所有，摩西没有教他们怎么去打仗取城，却是在讲很多似乎用不到的诫命。然而，神的话语对我们的生命非常重要。神看重关系，我们又是如何看待关系？是否利用关系得到好处？今天的经文帮助我们知道在神国度里蒙福的关系如何。
一、v.1-8 要看重群体中的关系
V1 “耶和华的会”指的是属于耶和华的群体。”外肾受伤”的人靠着自己的力量过活，白天工作、夜晚放纵，所以身体被搞坏了；“被阉割”的人没有看重神给他们的身份，为要服事有势力的人。这些人在群体中会成为影响别人的酵、让别人也只想拼命。神不要我们倚靠自己或别人，而是单单倚靠他。
V2 私生子是在不合法的关系里所生的孩子，他们的后代要直到十代才能进入耶和华的会，因为他们的父母没有尊重耶和华的法则，会在群体中带下不好的风气。
V3-6 亚扪人和摩押人受的限制跟私生子是一样的。当神给我们一份带领时，那些不配合的人，神看他们如同私生子。这些人不看重神的话。神不要我们遇见试探，我们不要对那些人有愚昧的恩慈，而要跟他们划清界限。我们自己也不要去阻挡别人跟从神。当神跟我们说要向前走的时候，我们不要害怕，“因为耶和华你的神爱你”，他会保守我们。
V7-8 神的百姓曾经在以东人或埃及人那里得到好处，所以神教导我们不可厌恶那些人。然而我们也不能让这些人进入我们当中，要过三代才能让他们进入。我们是否在我们的弟兄姐妹身上拿取过好处？
二、v.9-20 要看重在居住地的关系
V9-11 “营”代表我们居住的地方，梦遗的人通常是想一些不圣洁的东西，所以要出去为罪为义为审判自己责备自己。
V15-16 当一个奴仆逃到我们居住的地方，我们就要让他得自由。别人愿意来到我们这里，是因为看到有神。我们面对“奴仆”，是否释放他们得到神国的自由，还是让他们成为自己的奴仆？我们是否爱惜神带到我们身边的每一只羊？
V17-18 妓女和娈童是那时在迦南地庙里的特有的职位，神不要他们奉献的钱。
V19-20 我们帮助弟兄姐妹，不要为自己牟利。教会的人“单纯”，很容易被人骗，神不要我们自私自利。他要我们帮助弟兄姐妹，他的恩手就赐福我们。
三、v.21-25 要看重利益中的关系
V21-22 神没有要我们“许愿”，若不许愿，其实就没事，但若跟神许愿，我们就要负责到底，不然就有罪了。
V23 我们要对说出口的话负责，是就是，不是就不是，神是用话语创造天地，我们重视话语的力量吗？
V24-25 人要真的肚子饿了，才需要去邻舍的园子里吃东西。面对筋疲力尽的人，我们可以帮助他们。
我们看重的是自己的利益，还是看重关系？神看重关系，他不要我们在应许之地看重世上的东西大过神，也不要轻视这个世界对我们的影响。我们要凡事以神为首，就能活在永远的福乐里。
