God is telling the second and third generations Israelites an important message, before they were about to enter the Promises Land, to fully rely on God. When we don’t know what is ahead of us, we will have fear, we will have doubt, and we are not sure if God will take care of us.

Section One V1-9 God will be Responsible 

When we are under God’s reign, we must stand up for God and for His people, when there are sins among us, we must stand up for righteousness, and God will take responsibility. When there are misunderstanding among us, there will be quarrels and conflicts, so the elders must stand up and take the responsibility to repent before God. It’s not about fault finding but to bring back unity to the family of God. God is love, He knows our heart and He would not want us to continue to sin.

Section Two V10-17 God will be in Control

Do not think that God will not care, He loves us, He wants to come into our difficult situations and save us. When we sin, God will give us the opportunity to repent and return to Him, to go back to the beginning and He will take control. God is also righteous, He sees the unfair matters in our household and makes it right. God did not want the Israelites to fight for themselves, or to focus on their own gains, but to let God take over our lives. When we fully rely on God, He will sort out all our problems for us. Do we let God deal with our problems? Not to complain to Him but to trust that He will help us?

Section Three V18-23 God will Judge

For rebellious sons, what should the parents do? God didn’t tell the parents to beat the son to death but to believe in God. As parents we must teach and love our children, when they make mistakes, we must bring them before the elders and before God. Believe that God will judge and wait upon God’s timing. Do we know that God will take full responsibility for us as He leads us into the Promised Land?

申命记 21 – 在应许之地要全然倚靠神

当我们要进入神所预备给我们的命定时，我们无法掌握前方的事物，会担心神是否会照顾我们。神借着本章经文鼓励我们全然倚靠他。

一、v.1-9 神必负责任

V1 亲人被杀，也不知道是被谁杀死的, 这些死者的家属必定充满悲愤。神重视这些剩下来的人的心情，所以为他们提出解决方案。

V2-8 附近的长老和审判官不能坐视不理，而要丈量土地，确定负责人。站出来担罪的是离死人最近的那城的长老，为这事献祭和祷告，罪必得赦免。虽然人不是我们杀的，但在神的应许之地，我们要站起来，不能让争讼殴打的酵散发在神的家中。不好的事情发生后，我们不是去分辨对错，不要让撒旦的分裂借机进入我们当中，而是起来承担、与人合一。神是爱我们的天父，他会为我们负责，会为我们出手。

二、v.12-17 神必掌权

V12-13 即使是外邦的女子，神也会看顾。这女子嫁人前的一切预备代表着她弃绝自己的过去，像婴孩一样进入神的家，神就为她负责到底。

V15-17 神连这些小事都知道、为人着想。神在提醒他的百姓不要为生活上的事去争去抢。在生命树下的谦卑顺服、舍己利他不是规定，而是帮助我们学习倚靠神，看到他在我们生命如何全然掌权。当我们遇到问题需要处理的时候，我们的态度如何呢？是抱怨、质问权柄，还是谦卑寻求帮助？神是爱我们的天父，并非让我们在遇到困难的时候不可说话。我们相信神是掌权的并全然倚靠他吗？

三、v.18-21 神必审判

有这样玩梗悖逆的儿子，父母其实做不了什么。神没有让父母去私自将不听话的儿女打死，而是要将这孩子带到本城的长老那里让他们审断。作为父母，我们要去爱和教导孩子，而不是纵容。要将他们带到长老面前，要相信神，不要因为没有耐心而自己私下处理，因为神必为我们申冤。
