Section One V1-7 To Set Apart
Why did God wanted the people to set apart the food and the things with defect? Because these are the things not pleasant to people, then why would we give them to God? God wants us to choose the best for God, the things God wants, not what we want to give to God or to our church. When we offer, we must use the heart of God and the eyesight of God. Whatever God displeases, we also must destroy it, things God do not approve and behaviours that are against God. God wants us to be holy and live a godly life, so we can live long in the promise of God. God wants to protect us, He loves us and He wants us to live long with our next generations.
Section Two V8-13 To Humble and Obey
We are learning to live under the Tree of Live, to humble ourselves and obey God, then we can continue to live in God’s blessings. Furthermore, we must be humble and obedient in the place God appointed, in God’s Way, not in our own ways. It’s easy for us to be humble for the things we want and in the ways we want.
Everyone is looking for love, and we all have our own interpretation of love and being loved. We tend to hide our shame, to cover up our mistakes, to show our best self, and to seek for love. But God wants us to receive His love only, because when we seek the love from this world, then the love of world will become our idol, and become were our emotions based on. Our emotions should also be from God, we should feel how God feel, and receive the complete love from Him. Then we are able to live long in the promise of God. Let us put to death the action of seeking love from this world, but to love ourselves, to know we are loved, and to come close to God, who is the source of all love.
Section Three V14-20 To Establish the Nation by the Word of God
Moses told the Israelites that if they found it difficult to be governed by God, then they would appoint themselves a king to govern over them. But the king must be chosen among their brothers, someone God has approved. The leader is not to boss people around and receive benefits from the position, but to seek the benefit for all the people. The leader in the kingdom of God must know well the Word of God and keep the Word of God. As leaders, they must make the Word of God their own words, not by their talents and not by their experiences, because they might be proud. A true leader will keep the Word of God and follow it. This is the only way to prolong in the promise of God in the places God appoints for us to be! So we and our next generations can continue to live in God’s blessings.
申命记 17 – 在神的应许里面得以长久

神是良善的天父，他借着他的仆人老摩西告诉那些要进入应许之地的百姓要如何过活。很多人因着害怕和小信而在祝福面前“过门而不入”，或者让恩典成为昙花一现。神所赐的福是要给我们和我们子孙后代的，我们不要因为害怕吃苦而选择离开。在本章的经文里，老摩西继续教导百姓如何在神的应许里面得以长久而不是昙花一现。
一、v.1-7 要分别出来
V1 “残疾的”或“有什么恶病的”是我们看为不好、自己也不会要的牛羊，这不能献给神。神要我们花时间去选出最好的来献给他。
V2-4 这“可憎恶的事”是被神所憎恶的，神要我们用他的眼光来看待事情。
V5 这些人被拉到城外处死，因为神要他的子民圣洁，在他所赐的应许之地上得以长久。神并非没有爱心，他是良善的天父，他想保护我们，使我们和我们的子孙后代能在他的应许里长长久久。
二、v.8-13 要谦卑顺服
我们要谦卑顺服，不是为了神, 而是让我们能以在神的应许里得以长久，不轻易被别人的言语动摇信心。我们不要昙花一现，而让神的应许成为我们世世代代的祝福。
那些“争讼的事”之所以发生，是因为人心里没有爱。当我们觉得没有爱的时候，我们习惯用自己的情绪、方法来处理，然而神教导我们要“起来，往耶和华你神所选择的地方， 去见祭司利未人并当时的审判官，求问他们”。当我们觉得被冒犯的时候，我们要谦卑，不要为了自己强出头，而是到神为我们所选择的地方去寻问并听从神和他仆人的教导。我们每一个人都在寻找爱，都想证明自己是可爱的，但人的爱永远不能满足我们，唯有神的爱才能满足。当我们以为人不爱我们的时候，我们心里的小剧场就越演越烈。不要用自己的方式寻找爱，不要让我们对“爱”的渴求成为我们的偶像。我们要谦卑顺服，将心里的恶治死，单单从神那里得到完全的爱，这样我们就不会偏离左右，而是在神的应许里得以长久。如何能被爱？就是要亲近神，因为神是爱的源头。
三、v.14-20 要以神的话立国
V14-15 摩西告诉百姓，如果他们不能敬畏或遵守那看不见的神，就可以为自己立王。但立王的标准不是跟随潮流，而是要从神的国中拣选弟兄来立王。
V16-17 这里的“王”不是圣殿里的大祭司或利未人，而是在职场上、社会上、或社交圈里带领别人的人。神国的领袖跟这个世界的人不一样，不是让别人回埃及过着倚靠自己、为奴为仆的生活，也不是为自己谋算，而是要带领人敬拜神。
V18-19 我们若想成为领袖，就要先有神的律法并谨守遵行，因我们所讲的不是自己的话，而是神的话。
V20 当我们自以为有能力有才华的时候，我们就容易心高气傲，然而神要我们以他的话立国，让我们在他所给我们的高位上得以长久。神不要昙花一现，而是让我们和我们的子孙后代在他的应许里长久。让我们以神的话成为脚前的灯、路上的光，一起走这蒙福的路！
