Moses was leading two generations of the people being called. We also must know the mission God has given to us, not just live through today, but see the greater purpose God has given to us in our lives. God is looking at us and our future generations, not just our lives today! We often wonder what is going to happen in the future, where we are going, where our church is going, and the answer is just follow God. Being prepared and equipped by God, let God lead the way ad He will take us to the place He has planned for us. But we want to have our plans, our 3-year plan, our 5-year plan, our lifetime warranty… we don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow, but we have the confident to look through the future, because we know when we follow God, everything we do can last to eternity. God is a generation God, He is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, His Word is never wrong, and He is real.
Section One V1-5 To Know God Never Changes
Moses broke the stone tablets because he was angry at the Israelites, so God asked him to make another two stone tablets. We must pay the price of our mistakes, when something is broken, we need to fix it. In the same way, when a relationship is broken, we should also seek to restore it. When we are willing to turn back to face out mistakes, then God will help us to fix them just like how He helped Moses fix the stone tablets and rewrote the words. But we must do our part, to repent, to restore, to apologise…
How do we see the promises God has given to us? Do we believe that the promises God gave to Abraham and to David will also be given to us? We must have the right attitude towards every Word God has spoken and is speaking to us. The earth may change but God will never change. His love and His promises for us will never change. We must come back to God, to return to our first love, to get rid of our fears and worries, and know that He loves us to the end.
Section Two V6-11 To Make God Our First Priority
God should always come first then people, and then the earth. But we often get our priorities wrong and put God last. God treasures us and He wants the best for us, He keeps His promises, and He shows us His love. That’s why He separated the Levi Tribe to remind the people that God’s love never changes. When we receive teaching through the servants of God, we feel that we are being oppressed, restricted, and disciplined, but God wants to bless us, and all the teachings God gave to us are for our own good.
Do we really put God first? When we do, we will no longer have an orphan mindset, we will not judge God and we will not judge others. When we put God first, we will follow God wherever He leads us, we will not complain about our current situations and we will not worry where we will go.
Section Three V12-22 To Fear God with all Your Heart
Do not think that we can give God anything, God does not need our offering, but He wants us to receive blessings. It’s difficult for people to think that they can receive blessings without any hard work. On the other hand, people are easy to think that God gives us too many restrictions and limitations. We like to blame God and blame our authority, but we don’t see that God is actually giving us the freedom to choose, it’s our conscious inside of us that are speaking to us and making us feel confined. God is love, He loves us because we are His creations and we are loveable. When we know God’s love for us then we will not feel like orphans.
申命记 10 – 脱去孤儿的心

我们看到的若只是现在这一代的状况，就会对神失望，然而神是施慈爱的，是亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神，他不仅顾念我们，也顾念我们的下一代直到千代万代。在以色列百姓进入迦南地之前，摩西帮助他们更认识神。我们要真认识我们良善的天父，这样我们的根基才是建立在耶稣基督的磐石之上。
这群第二代的以色列人在旷野绕行多年，一直没有进入迦南地，却眼睁睁看着自己的长辈死去，可能会担心自己就是下一个。摩西教导他们要脱去孤儿的心。我们跟从神，心里是否害怕？是否还想要膨胀自己？我们不用担心未来，因为神会带领着我们走前面的路。神话语是真实无误的。要脱去孤儿的心，我们才能进入神所应许的迦南地并得地为业。
一、v.1-5 神是永不改变的
V1 “那时”指的是摩西将神给他的法版摔碎的时候。当初摩西生以色列人的气，在愤怒中犯了这错，神就让摩西摩西亲手去重新凿法版，因为人要为自己的错误付出代价，不是一句对不起就完事的。 神要我们在自己的错误中重新站起来，因为他有慈爱也有公义。修复的过程不容易，但神让我们在艰苦中更加经历他的爱。
V2 人可以自己凿法版，但上面的字只能够由神来写。我们犯错后，能够做的是认罪悔改，不是自我定罪，其它的事神会帮助我们处理。神要摩西在重新凿法版的辛苦过程中感受到神深深的爱 – 他原本并不需要做这些事，却因在情欲中发泄自己的不满而需要花精力修补过错。我们若与人关系破裂，也要付代价去修复。神的十诫不是规条，而是帮助我们能活出蒙福的生命，不至于在迦南地跌倒。神让摩西做一个柜，让大家看到这个物件的贵重。我们是否看神的应许是贵重的，还是觉得神会改变？我们是善变的，唯有神永不改变，神在圣经中所应许的一切都不改变。
二、v.6-11 要以神为首
我们相信的是先神后人再大地，然而我们常常将神放在最后一位。
V8 法柜里放着的是神与人所立的约，他让我们记得他是慈爱的。我们可能以为神的仆人只会教训、压制我们，有些人看到权柄甚至可能掉头就走，其实神的仆人是来祝福我们的。
V9 我们以为做神的仆人就是“贫穷”，却没有看到他们与神同在得到的祝福。我们没有以神为首，没有看到神是良善的天父，他是要祝福我们的。
V10-11 神对我们所怀的是慈爱的心。神让摩西引导以色列百姓，让他们知道是神应许给他们列祖的迦南美地 – 所以他们能够得到应许不是因为自己表现好的doing。我们不要以为自己为神做了很多事就应该得到赞赏。若别人不称赞，我们就很容易受伤，心里充满小剧场，因为我们是“孤儿”，不相信神无条件爱我们，想用自己的doing去肯定自我价值。神看的不是我们的doing，我们做任何事都应该是因为感受到神的爱。当初摩西对自己所带领的人不满，所以击打磐石两次。我们是否也是这样看我们所牧养的人，是否因看到自己的付出得不到相应的回报而有负面情绪？我们服事神，是看别人怎样，还是因为跟从神的带领？要以神为首，而不是看别人是否爱我们。
三、v.12-22 要尽心敬畏神
V12-13 不要骄傲的以为自己能够为神做很多事，其实神要的就是“敬畏耶和华你的神，遵行他的道，爱他，尽心、尽性事奉他”，而神让我们做这一切是“为要叫你得福”。神的仆人教导我们的时候，只是将神的话传达给我们，并不是要限制我们的自由，而我们若觉得有压力，那是因为自己里面的良心在责备我们。我们都有自由做自己想做的事，但在生命的道路上，我们要为自己的作为负责任，不能怪罪任何人。面对神，我们不要骄傲，只要尽心敬畏他。
V15 神拣选我们，不是要我们辛苦或失去自由，而是因为我们是他所爱的心肝宝贝。
V16 进入流奶与蜜之地之前，要先“将心里的污秽除掉，不可再硬着颈项”。
V17 我们会因为自己的外貌而自卑，害怕别人会以貌取人、看不起我们，于是花很多精力打扮自己、或辛苦将事情做到完美期望得到人的赞赏。然而神“不以貌取人，也不受贿赂”，神爱我们，因为他看我们是可爱的。
V18 “孤儿”就是那些不觉得自己被爱的人，寡妇就是没有丈夫保护的人；神爱我们，让我们知道自己是可爱的，是有保护的。我们都是寄居的，却一同承受神给亚伯拉罕的祝福，因为神怜悯我们。
V21 神不要我们活在骄傲里，而是深深明白他的爱何等长阔高深。
